We arranged a trip on the Royal Seascope glass-hulled boat around the bay of Ras Mohammed to view the marine life of the Red Sea. The views from the underwater windows are superb and it is a fabulous way of seeing the underwater world without having to get wet! The guide from our hotel (Jaz Mirabel Beach) - Mahmood was thoroughly entertaining and very professional in his delivery of interesting facts about the area. I would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone who would like to explore the delights of the marine life without the need to go into the water. The information leaflet on the species of fish and coral that is available prior to the trip (on the jetty) is well worth having at a cost of £2.50 each.
We went here on a boat trip, great day out. Mohammed on the Cinderella boat kept us entertained as we didn't go snorkelling..
We enjoyed a trip snorkelling around this national park looking at the corals & a wide variety of fish. Would recommend doing this trip
a whole day snorkling beautiful to see. took our 6 year old son and everyone was very helpful, they have a guide for those that are not very strong swimmers, had lunch on the boat well worth a trip.
We had a fantastic day in Ras Mohammed on a tour organised by Sharm Life. We did an intro dive and the instruction was excellent. The instructor spent a lot of time going through the medical questionnaire for PADI and the use of the equipment prior to the dive itself which was on a 1 to 1 basis with the instructor controlling your depth etc and ensuring that he held onto your hand at all times. We have done a try dive before in Ibiza and never felt as confident in our instructor or as safe as we did this time. The dive itself was amazing with a excellent reef and a huge amount of sealife. The two snorkels we also did were also brilliant and the food provided very nice and drinks plentiful. The on ship and underwater photographers were also excellent and their products good quality and well priced. This was one of the best days of our holiday. We are hoping to return to Sharm again next year and will definitely repeat the experience.
Came diving here with Sina drivers what an amazing experience! My family and I had been diving here before, however one member had never. They were made to feel at ease nothing was too much trouble. The water is so warm and crystal clear you can see the bottom! Amazing fish and rife while diving, snorkelling opportunities too if you like that. They say it's more beautiful than the barrier rife in Australia now. The boat trip had all inclusive drinks (tea, coffee, and soft) lovely fresh meal cooked on the boat. While diving you can have photo's or video taken to capture a unique experience of a different world under sea. Would highly recommend to dive here.
I was really shocked at the number of boats and people in the water at the three sites we visited, especially the number of people who can barely swim but think it's a good idea to put on a life vest and thrash about in the water for an hour at a time. I am surprised the coral has managed to survive so far with the amount of people we saw kicking it.We saw a lot of surface bleaching on the shallower reefs but still lots of live blocks from red sea pulsing xenia to the big bushes of fire coral. Unfortunately no turtles and just one blue spotted ray but lots of puffers and christmas tree worms hidden away. People, if you can't swim or snorkel just don't get in the water! All you do in endanger yourself, the people that have to try and rescue you when you start drowning and lastly, the reef which has enough problems surviving without your flippers all over it...............
Beautiful beach and fabulous sea and fish.nothing to not like.go by boat or car....quiet spaces on the beach...
We booked ras mohamed snorkeling trip by boat. The trip started 8 am our guide picked us from our hotel then we had a little queue to the marine and once we are inboard we feel amazing by the nature. Sea. Sky. Mountains. We got our lunch onboard with drinks and the boat stopped in different points to allow us swimming and snorkeling. What we advise to check if the tour include snorkeling equipments or not as we had to hire this onboard with 10 euro per person
Dived here four times with The Red Sea College and it's the most beautiful place I have ever seen below sea level. Shark & Yolanda reef and jack fish alley are stunning. You could dive here everyday and see something different. Gorgeous underwater landscape not to be missed.
We have been several times as you can snorkel direct from the beach. You pay an entrance fee about £4 and if you travel by car you are charged for the privilage. You can acess many different places including the mangroves which is well worth a visit. Loads of different types of fish and the rock formation is worth a view as it crosses over the road. Lovely views and shaded areas to shelter from the sun. Overall a jem in the dessert well worth a trip.
It is an unreal place, when you look on the surface, it looks like a simple desert, but when you dive under the surface, a whole new world opens. It is priceless! Shark observatory, Yolanda reef, and all other dive sites are something that scuba diver must visit and see.
We went on a boat trip (Cinderella was the boats name) while on holiday in Sharm el Sheikh and it was well worth it. We saw dolphins while onboard the boat and also when we were snorkelling in the sea! I am not a very confident swimmer in the sea and would never usually get in when we have done other swim stops on boat trips, but the guide who took us out made you feel at ease . I wore a life jacket/float and held onto the life ring aswell. The guide never left us and even rescued my swim shoe when it fell off! The fish and coral were amazing, we snorkelled at 2 stops and the last stop was used for your own free time, a few people jumped off the side of the boat into the sea ( I didn't! ) and went snorkelling on their own, definately worth going , there is also a buffet lunch which was really nice and soft drinks are included
Amazing. The reefs are just teaming with life. Went on a day boat trip (organised via Thomas Cook) which included 3 stops at different reefs and lunch on board. I am desperate to go back and scuba dive this area. If you are considering a boat trip out and you are not a strong swimmer wear a life jacket in the water as it is quite choppy (and no-one thought to count everyone into the water and back to the boat which seemed an obvious).
This is something you have to do if you are a diver! In ras Mohammed national parc are only 2 dive center who can camp in the national parc. Dahab Divers from Dahab is one of them. There is only place for max 20 persons. Food and drinks are provided for but, price is paid a the amount you use. The camp is very basic. Shower is made with just half a curtain and you pur water over your head with the half of a plastic bottle. WC are 3 options, 1) dig a hole behind a hile and give it a go, 2) public toilet who is cleaned one a week (in our period was oke not filty), 3) In the sea. Yes back to nature ;) but great experience! The meals are cooked by a cook of the camp van tasts great. If your hunger there is always something and if you ask then you will get what you want. In the evening is even alcoholic beverage provided and cooled by Ice that is bought in the market in town. In this part of ras mohammed is only sand. Nothing else, no people and only a dessert fox and rabbit. But when you dive ist wonderful. Because this is a national parc there is no damage to the reefs. Lots and lots of fish wonderful colours. It's a garden and snorkeling is also a must. But don't forget the suncreme!!!! You will need it and a towel to cover yourself during the day in the sun. You don't need any blankets because it's so hot and you have never seen so many stars all together in the night because there is no light at all!At camp side are some reefs and the others are seen by car. I think bay close to the camp was the best and the reefwall by the head of ras mohammed it self. There we two mating gaint murays! Amazing! Everything is cosh and it's great to have a chat in the sea all together. For experienced divers it's a must! But you will have to handle the living situation. We had a great time and I would love to do it again. You can also book a hole week there and then you can take your own tent en sleeping matras. We were there only for a couple of days so they took care of that. We discovered this only by surprise and were very happy that it was possible in our vacation. The trip was from dahab only two hours by van. That was also very comfortable it was a big van for a group but we were only with two and our dive guide. On the way we can by a forest in the middle of the dessert. This is build by the garbage of the drain from the city and so they support the ecological system great to see. I hope I have inspired you to go and see it yourself, but it's only possible when your experience diver.
