From raspberries to blueberries and the late August strawberries, Barrie Hill Farms has it all!The wagon rides from the farm to the field are pleasant and move quite often, so there is not a lot of waiting around.Staff is friendly (especially to the little ones who are accompanying the adults).Love the produce and the jams that have resulted from all of the berry picking!

This family run farm and market has become a real favourite for fresh produce throughout the summer months. The addition and expansion of the market features not only showcases their own products but other local goodies too, like honey and baked goods. Avoid the crowds and go during the week and don't expect a deal. You get what you pay for and this quality is not inexpensive.

Was so disappointed in my recent visit to Barrie Hill Farms. It has become very commercialized and very expensive. I understand the need to improve and stay competitive - especially in farming - an extremely difficult industry. That being said, it's just not a great place to go any more. People are more interested in the blueberry pancakes it seems. My husband recently purchased cucumbers for pickling (I couldn't go) and they were probably picked 3 or 4 days ago and kept in the fridge. Now, not being the one who does the pickling, he brought them home - They are soft and bendy. Not good for making pickles that are supposed to be crisp! So very disappointing. I'll drive around to several places to get what I need rather than go there again. Too bad as I am a huge supporter of purchasing locally grown fruit and vegetables. This is just a smaller version of a produce section in a super market.

I have never been here before but heard wonderful things so we decided to go Strawberry picking and check out their farmers market. The strawberries we picked were sooooo delicious and so red! We also purchased locally grown vegtabales from them as well from their farmers market and a home-made blueberry pie. We made many delicoius deserts from the strawberries and the strawberry daquiris we made over the weekend were the best i've ever tasted. Every single strawberry was SUPPPER juicy and red. I will certainly be returning in the near future to help support our local econonmy and farmers but also because the food their is really delicous and fairly priced as well. CAN'T WAIT FOR RASBERRY SEASON!
