If you are looking for a fantastic movie experience then this may not quite be it. If you are just looking for a local movie theatre to watch a movie in a basic setting then you have come to the right place. Not bad ... not great
I was to the Cineplex Odeon Seaway Mall Cinemas at 800 Niagara Street in Welland on one occasion with my sister and won't be returning.Service: Service is average.Atmosphere: The cinemas are located in the Seaway Mall which makes it convenient with ample parking. The theatre itself however is very old and requires an immediate makeover. If this were done, they'd become more competitive & capture more of the market share. The seats are uncomfortable & falling apart, the screen is small and the sound system is mediocre. No extra bells & whistles here. You can forget about IMAX, 3D or UltraAVX options here as well!Overall: We won't return to this location. I'll drive to the Cineplex Odeon Niagara Square Cinemas or the Landmark Cinemas at the Pen Centre.
Like serious update this theatre it's only been 25 years have the owners been to the niagara falls theatre or they just to cheap and don't care about the consumer you won't be getting my money
The Sunday Matinee was great, my son and I had no problems standing in line or getting a seat. The show started on time, the theatre was clean and so were the washrooms.
This is an old theatre with uncomfortable seats and small screens but the prices are lower than other Cineplex theatres.
This is the cheapest cost cinema to go to in Niagara, but the theaters are dated. The screens and theaters are smaller and the sound is ok but not mind blowing. The Niagara Falls Cineplex or the St Catharines Empire theater are both better viewing experiences but will hit your pocket book a bit more.
Very reasonably priced movie theatre with comfortable seats and friendly staff. Right in the mall so handy to everything-shopping or dining before hand.
An older theatre that still shows a variety of new releases. Clean, but basic. Does not offer the advanced features of large comfy chairs, enhanced sound, 3D capabilities as some of the newer theatre- but definitely a plus when wanting to stay in Weland.
it is a show, nothing over impressive. walls could be dusted down, lots of dust bunnies..should close doors to theatres automatically when show starts.
The Seaway Cinemas has the best prices in the Niagara Region. Even though the seating is a bit older and starting to show wear they still flip down.Compared to the Drive-in this theatre is affordable and high quality. The movie was clear and bright with booming sound. While the sound system isn't the newest it practically shakes the building.Skip the popcorn - it is stuck at harsh prices. The drinks are oversized - bring someone that you can share with. There were also two other people in the theatre that bough the nachos - it stunk up the place. Don't let that get you down - there is ample seating as long as you do't go on a Tuesday. Tuesday is "cheap night". The price lingers around $7 per person on a regular night.
I really enjoyed having a cinema in the same town, with a good selection of new movie releases and amount of cinemas, BUT, they REALLY need to get newer more comfortable seats in their theaters.
Well my caption says it all. This cinema is rather old with very old screens. The last time I sat in the theatre I was waiting for the movie to end so I could leave as fast as I could and get my money back haha. Too old, too small. Go to the Cineplex Odeon in Niagara falls. Much better and the same price :)
I thought I would try another movie at SeawayMall. I was wrong.First all during the show people had Cell Phones on then you see people in the corner having Sex, Yes that is right. The I went to the Mens Lou-Washroom in Canada. Ha! Ha! The Door Stall was broken to close the door. Then I went to buy food, well they removed a few Items that I use to get. Now I understand why most people wait till the Movie goes to DVD. Oh.! Well. Wish they would fix things and upgrade the place.
The cineplex is in need of renovations. The chairs are quite shabby and the floor is usually sticky.
Handy to have theatres in this city but is generally small and seats are not comfortable like some of the bigger theatres in nearby cities. Popcorn is great!
