Everything you want to know about travelling in Nova Scotia is right here from travel guides, festivals, theatre to accommodation info and knowledgable, friendly staff. A great gift shop, clean restrooms and an historic location - Beaubassin, the site of the first expulsion of the Acadians in 1755.

A great source for maps and brochures, but it really takes time to stop here. Some souvenirs, not too much in the way of snacks. Good handicap facilities, but we always lose at least twenty minutes when we stop here. Nice patio with high vantage point to take pictures and enjoy the vast view on a nice day. Usually, very windy here, the power turbines make this landmark easily visible.

We stopped on the way into Nova Scotia. This was the nicest center we hit on our entire trip. Lots of good info, clean rest rooms and wifi. The grounds are very nice also. There is a small sunken garden if you just need to relax a while.

This has to be one of the nicest tourist centers ever!! It is spotless and has lots of information with very helpful staff. There is a gift shop with a great selection and information on every aspect of Nova Scotia. Well worth the stop.

Easy to miss as its the first off ramp/exit in NS. Very clean washrooms. Huge amount of information for NS. Since the town of Amherst information centre is a few bill boards pls don't get them mixed up.

We did a potty stop and also utilized the Welcome Center. We dealt with Tanya and she was a very very nice person. Gave us information to further us on our journey of Nova Scotia and also made hotel reservations for us for the next stop on our journey.

It's a place you'll see and expect when you want to visit Nova Scotia, the highlights of Peggy's Cove, in its little style of significant beauty, a very helpful staff before you proceed to NS, a lot of info where and what you have to see. Take some pictures with the view of the windmills.

Excellent, very helpful. People are knowledgeable. Friendly, explanations accurate, visitors centers always clean, bathrooms very clean.

Very well organized with lots of helpful agents at separate desks. This is also the most beautiful welcome center I've every seen. They even had a bagpiper playing outside.

It's worth it to make a stop at The NS Welcome Centre in Amherst. Clean, big and bright, they really showcase the province. The info staff were very helpful. We were looking for a place to eat a lobster lunch near New Glasgow, and they recommended the Salt Water Cafe in Pictou. Turned out to be a great recommendation (my review on that to be submitted shortly). There's a sweet little gift shop on site. We picked up some Jimmy the Janitor stand up comedy CDs for my hubby (newfie humour which he loves). Outside, there are beautiful views of the landscape on one side, looking towards New Brunswick, and a tranquil garden that we almost missed on the other side. There's lots of parking available as well.

This center was having a visitor appreciation event. They were so friendly and helpful. Lots of really nice items for sale as well. Would definately recommend stopping here!!

We have found a system for visiting the Canadian Information Centers: (1) Identify the areas you wish to travel to, (2) Check Trip Advisor before you visit the center and make a list of the "things to do" at each location, (3) At the Information Center share your list with the agent and ask to see a map where each is located, (4) Ask if there are others attractions similar to those on your list in case TA does not have it listed. These steps will help you assist the agent in focusing on what interests you and not go away with all kinds of booklets and brochures you will never use or be overwhelmed with too much information. The agents seems to like this system as well. The NS Center is a joy to visit and sometimes has a bagpiper playing as well. Easy access for RVs.

They were very helpful giving us maps and brochures on Nova Scotia as well as ferry information for the ferry from Caribou to PEI.

Very helpful in this information Centre that was at the Nova Scotia/New Brunswick border. They were also very friendly and as the Information Centre in New Brunswick was closed, the agent gave us information on a delightful Bird Sanctuary/ and board walk trails in Sackville New Brunswick. We took these trails and they were excellent
