We popped in to the visitor Information Centre to find out more about where best to pick cherries, where to have dinner and where best to buy cherry pies. We were provided with everything we needed, to have an enjoyable stay and find everything we needed. It is located at the Young train station and easily distinguished by the large Welcome To Young Cherry sign.

We were passing through Young very early in the cherry season & had not been able to find an orchard with cherries available.The information centre recommended that we call in as they contact orchards every morning to check who has cherries available.This worked for us & we were able to go straight to the right place & not waste time.Good parking out front & friendly service were a bonus.

Helpful staff with local produce and goods.Some of them are cheaper elsewhere.Now buses depart from the station.In front of the Information centre is a memorial to those who sacrificed their lives form the local area.

The Young Visitor Information centre is located within the historic old railway station.Not just great advice from the staff on the latest information, local knowledge and advice.There is also a range of souvenirs, local products, jams, olive oil, soaps, wines and more, which are available to purchase.Also located within the Visitor Centre you'll find the Burrangong Art Gallery.There is plenty of parking available even for large vehicles and motorhomes.Look for the big "Y" with the 3 cherries on top.
