A wonderful experience to be able to view and walk round such a jewelSo much history - takes your breath away we just take it for granted...........our loss !Worth a visit; The café is OK - there are better places to eat. But I did not come to eat, rather then to take my fill of culture. Filled & satisfied.

Stunning 11c Cathedral with fabulous 20th Century art work and ancient roman remains. Beautiful. Stroll around and enjoy and spot the amazing art on high.

The addition of a café is a bonus, I think, as well as the ability to walk around outside. An almost hallowed feeling hen inside, with wonderful stained glass windows, chapels, etc.

The coffee was filter rubbish and the service was a bit lacking. But then I suppose food is not the cathedral's speciality.

It is free to explore and a great coffee shop and gift shop. The cathedral has amazing statues and quiet areas. They give you a leaflet on the door. A great place to pray and lots of services each day. There is a really holy feel about the building. The gardens nearby are very green and colourful.

Well worth a visit, I thought it was stunning and had lots to see. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and had just missed a free concert so I advise looking out for their events!

enjoyed tho addition of two modern heads in stone at the door. The greeters were friendly welcoming and helpful. The building is impressive as you might expect but it has a earthly community feel to it. In the corner of the room with the silver plate collection is the original weather vane from the roof - interesting to see it up close, complete with bullet holes apparently from a WW2 enemy aircraft.

Like all English cathedrals this is a magnificent and interesting building and in addition is blessed with a collection of outstanding art works. Would particularly recommend attending Evensong. Even if you're not churchgoers, I would defy anyone to remain spiritually unmoved by the heavenly singing of the choir.

If you love beautiful architecture, carving and bags of interesting history then you will love Chichester Cathedral. From the Cathedral through the cloisters it is a walk through history.

You cannot really go wrong visiting English medieval cathedrals. They are all splendid buildings.Chichester cathedral dominates the skyline and is right in the centre of this small city. Admission is free, although donations are requested. There is a lot to see in Chichester, interesting shops, numerous cafes and restaurants, Pallant House Gallery, etc Do take a few minutes to drop into the cathedral, even if you don't normally go out of the way to visit churches, you will not be disappointed.

In many ways, the Cathedral is much of what you would expect - old and beautiful stained glass windows, stone tombs, rich history. But there are some quite remarkable modern pieces of art too, including the 'Christ in Judgement' sculpture by Philip Jackson, a striking painting by Graham Sutherland and of course the Piper Tapestry which unfortunately is away for cleaning until Easter 2015. The most notable historical pieces are the Romanesque sculptures, discovered some time ago by accident and in excellent condition, and some wonderful stained glass in the South Transept. Well worth a visit and worth a donation (entry is free with boxes to put a suggested donation in).

Every time we visit the Cathedral there is something more to see and enjoy. It was Christmas so a local school choir was in full voice. The magnificence of the Cathedral is just amazing and humbling too. We build skyscrapers these days and glass edifices but a cathedral - it is a MUST to visit here. And don't forget the Cathedral shop - it has some marvellous memorabilia to purchase.
