Me and my wife had a really memorable experience doing the ziplines and the horseback riding. Amber was a great instructor for two beginners. We will definitly recommend this to friends, family, and the adventurous. Keep up the great work and thanks Todd and Jason. From the "honeymooners"
GREAT guides- Greg (not the owner) and Travis! Felt very, very safe and they make it a point to remember each guest's name. Take the 2 hour tour- it's WELL worth it! 13 zips, several swinging bridges~ fun, great way to spend some time enjoying great outdoors. Felt very secure with this team of guides- it's worth re-visiting next time we're in town.
Our group did both the zipline and horse ride. The saddles were not on tight, and the trail had yellow jacket hornets which caused 4 horses to run off with our kids and I was thrown off my horse. After this another horse kicked my sister in the leg while she was riding her horse. Then right before the ride ended my other sister was thrown off her horse, because her horse was fighting another horse.
Just got back from our 2 hour Zip Line and 1 hour Horse trail adventure with the Blue Ridge Canopy Adventure team, and boy was it a blast!!!!From the initial check-in and harnessing up, to the fun of the Zip Lines, we were thrilled. Our guides, Shaggy and Jason, were both very attentive and professional and safety conscious, as well as lots of fun!!After the Zip lines we took a short rest and had a cold soft drink and went to ride the horses on a very beautiful and scenic trail. Our guide, Tanya, along the trail was also excellent!!Overall a fantastic experience!!As a matter of fact we signed up to come back in a couple days for the 2 hour horse trail and gallup!Awesome!!
My husband & I had family in from Buffalo, NY & took the short drive up to Blue Ridge from Canton, GA. It was very easy to find, just follow their directions. We did the 2 hour tour which we recommend because you will want to keep going. Two of us are not a fan of heights but we were completely comfortable. Greg & Tammy were our guides. They were excellent, very informative, & very safe. Each zip line had something different to offer. We did the 10:30 time slot & brought a packed lunch. We ate down by the stream, where picnic tables are availible. They do have a covered area as well. It was the perfect day trip.
My wife and I took the 2 hour zip trip on Aug 1, 2014; she has always had a fear of heights. The guides, Greg J and Kyle, instructions and confidence as well as the gear removed my wife's fear of heights; she had a smile ear to ear throughout the entire 2 hours. We both enjoyed the exceleration of flying thru the trees on zips of 800 and 1100 feet in length. I am 67 years old and my wife, well lets just say she is 7 years my junior so don't back away if you're in our age range: put it on your bucket list. Great place to have fun and enjoy the beauty of the north Georgia mountians.
The deep drive into the woods was cool. We were greeted by Todd and staff who were friendly. Went horseback riding and Daisy the hound dog ran beside us on the beautiful trail. We also did the canopy tour which was Awesome !! They mentioned they were adding a 4,000 ft zipline. This place is worth checking out. Thanks Maddie, Sinbad and Austin!
First let me say why I can't give this 5-Stars. It's not the fault of Blue Ridge Canopy Adventure. I could likely not give any US zipline course 5 stars. After doing one in Quebec that was nearly three times as long and cost a third as much (ah don't we love liability insurance and suing here in the US), I couldn't give this one the same rating. This was the first zip line experience for part of my family. The course is well laid out, and is for the most part a "canopy" tour as the name suggests. There is only one point near the end where your feet touch the ground once you get started. Our guides were great. We had a retired police officer and a nurse. They do all the "work", which did take a little of the fun out of it when you've done the safety part yourself before. But, I do have confidence that I and my family were safe at all times. Our group total was six people plus the two guides. So, since the entire group meets up before each zip, there was some waiting, but it wasn't excessive.I will have to say that the "Cabin" where you check in is very nice. They could have spent a third the price and still had a nice building. It gives the impression that this really is a first class operation.Do the two hour zip course. The one hour course missed the most fun zips.
We took the Canopy tour zip line and had fun. Definitely something for the entire family. Our guides, Alex & Brent, were entertaining and very safety conscious. This was our first experience on a zip line. We had a blast and will definitely do it more often.
Staff was incredibly friendly and the guides were fantastic on the zip lines. Alex, Austin, Joey, and were great! I definitely plan on coming back and trying out their new lines next time I'm in town. I would definitely recommend to a friend.
We were on vacation with another family with teens. We attempted to call for a reservation but were unable to get through (Thanksgiving weekend)so, we drove to the place, first our GPS did not accurately map it and we nearly gave up, it was down the end of a single lane dirt road (maybe 3/4 mile beyond where our GPS pegged it at). We walk up the hill to the cabin to try to book for 7 of us..the man at the desk was quite impolite and did not have room for us..we inquired about perhaps a later time and he was VERY unaccommodating..and at one point told me flat out... " M'am I don't have to explain to you how I run my business"...NO way to treat any customer..trying to buy tickets to your business!OFFENDED we left....soooo, I was ready to give this place 0 stars.....BUT..Because of the lack of things to do in Blue Ridge when it is cold outside, our teens were very disappointed not to be able to do the Zip line course....so against our better judgement we called the 1-800 number the following day....the woman on the other end was MOST ACCOMMODATING and we pretty much had a private guided Zip line course the very next day! With the very miserable man from the day before as our guide..(I will withhold his name because I believe he must have been having an unusually bad day the day before) NIGHT and DAY EXPERIENCES...Based on the experience the 2nd day I would give 5 STARS...I would definitely recommend calling and getting a live person and booking up front...because the overwhelmed staff on site may not be pleasant to deal with...my guess is that it doesn't matter that much to the management because customers will return...it was very exhilarating and in the end we would do it again and recommend to anyone.
My Family and I had an amazing time on the Zip Line Canopy tour. It was the highlight of our vacation. The customer service is as good as it gets. The Blue Ridge Canopy Adventure team went above and beyond to make sure our Family had a great time. If your looking for fun and adventure this is it.
You always hope your birthday is memorable and I was not disappointed! Todd, Alex and Sinbad were our guides. Since we had never zipped before I was a bit apprehensive. If you have any reservations about doing this....get over it. Right from the beginning I knew these guys not only loved their jobs but they also genuinely wanted us to have an experience of a lifetime. You could probably go to a more convenient Zip Line but if you want to hear nothing but quiet, this is the place. Isn't this really all about being out in the trees? Who wants to zip next to a highway? I can't wait to drag more of my friends into the wilderness of this beautiful part of Georgia. Getting there is half the adventure!
my wife, stepson his freind and i had the best time zipping thru the canopy with this company, everybody was friendly and helpful.im not a little man but was relaxed and had a graet time.the guides Bugg and Simbad where fun and proffesional. try it u will love it.
The folks that run this company, as well as the guides, could not have been nicer. I was so happy that they went ahead even though there were only 3 of us. Safety and instruction was also handled well. I would have given them a 5 if there were a couple more platforms that were placed further apart.
