Beautiful little park on east side/ocean side of A1A. Great place to take the kids and grand kids so they can enjoy the beach, collect sea shells, play in the sand or just enjoy walking on the clean beach sand.
Great location in for beach parking and picnics. It has a play ground, showers, covered picnic tables and Life Guards. This is a great beach with no cars~
This is a great beach/park area. It's for kids and adults. There's a very nice playground, a really clean beach, lifeguard, showers, snacks and drinks, handicap accessible, grills, picnic tables and a few are covered. It is clean and well maintained.
Convenient location, ample parking with clean restrooms. Lifeguard on duty, spacious beach, plenty of room to spread out
This is were we usually park when we go to the beach. The place is fairly new. There is an ample number of clean restrooms and showers. The beach (with lifeguards and no on-beach traffic) )is just down the walkway from the park. There is a real nice playground for kids and picnic tables. The park is near some very nice restaurants (Lennys Pizza, Alfie's, Bettys A1A Café to name a few) so when you get all tanned you can go eat. Actually I should not rate this park so high because it may get too crowded.
It was all i needed to let my daughter run around freely. After all the driving to beach, to the hoghways, to restaurants or sleeping in at times, all the baby needed was some running and slidding. And this was a great thing for her!!!
Packed on the weekends, as it is a safe family-friendly beach access. Usually not crowded during the week, but get there by 10A particularly on a Sunday.
We have been going here for many years. It is a nice quiet beach, good facilities and easy parking. The parking lot does fill up especially on the weekends but usually someone is leaving so you can get a spot. On the holiday weekends you have to get here early! There is a life guard here to watch over the swimmers. The showers and bathrooms are clean and it is nice to be able to shower the salt and sand off. This beach can get crowded so sometimes it is worth going down a bit to get away from the crowds. This summer there is a nice little pool that forms at low tide so the little kids have a fun spot to hang out. There is a combination of body surfers and board surfers so that can be tough at times, especially because most of those surfers aren't too skilled.Plenty of places to get something to eat or drink if you need it. We do miss the food truck that used to be there also, nice to have something cool after a hot day at the beach. Also you can get access to special wheel chairs for the beach. Not sure how to do that but there is a shed where they seem to be located.
Finally a place in the Daytona Beach area with no cars on the beach. I realize for a lot of beach goers in this area, driving on the beach is one of the main draws. Personally, I find that cars driving up and down the beach completely ruins the peace and tranquility that *is* the beach. Generally, I prefer the gulf coast beaches over the Atlantic side, but we live much closer to the Daytona area. Now we have found a beach close to where we live with no cars and FREE Parking. There are restrooms and a playground here as well. The parking here is very limited (maybe 25 spaces total), but we were able to get a spot within a few minutes as someone was leaving. One minor complaint, the restrooms have no benches/chairs/shelves/stands where you can set your clothes while you change. Other than that, great day at the beach.
Renick Park is located about 3 miles North of Granada Blvd. in a quiet area named Ormond By The Sea. The park is small, but busy, in the peak swimming season. Parking is limited, but there is also extra spots available across A1A. The park has benches, restrooms, wash-off stations for sandy feet, and nice access to the beach. Used mostly by locals and visitors to the condo's near by. The beach is non-driving, and the life-guard headquarters is right beside the park.
We usually go at 5 PM and use the grills and the picnic tables for the whole family together. Each and every time is awesome
Great place to park close to the beach and pay nothing. Bathrooms available if needed. The bathrooms are average but the access to the beach is great.
Access to Ormond Beach, bathrooms available, picnic tables, foot wash, parking limited.Very Nice beach. Life guards on duty during the"season"
Excellent public beach area at Ormond-By-the-Sea. Public parking, clean restrooms, and, at least in February, the beach was not crowded. You can get breakfast and lunch not too far away, but walking across the street can be difficult due to traffic.
This park is great, has playground for little ones overlooking the ocean. A walkway to the beach. My granddaughter loves it. Showers and restrooms, also grills and tables for picnics.
