This is the kind of place you will not regret have stopped to visit.Lets be honest, moms and pops old fashion stores are evaporating, so this is a unique place with the real flavor of old school general store. You will fine something interesting to get or as a gift. We visited with my wife and 2 teenage boys and really enjoy it. Besides supporting a local family owned business.Keep it up!

Basically a tourist trap along Route 7 but one that is good to stop at for candy, fudge or other touristy gift options while in Vermont. Most of the store is devoted to various "gifts" along those lines while the front of the store is devoted to "authentic" Vermont food items as well as a great selection of fudge and candy. They do offer gift-wrapping for anything purchased there free of charge and the store still has some relics of its past as an authentic general store. Overall, it remains to serve Vermont's large tourist population.

Not as heralded as the Vermont Country store and easy to under estimate from outside, but this little gem is a wonderful spot for vermont gifts, vermont themed items, treats, fun and creative items, and even some practical stuff. It goes on and on inside, so poke through to see all it offers. Well worth a visit - I'll likely wander back to help Santa with some stocking stuffers!

Jam packed 7 rooms of everything imaginable! Upper end items down to things priced for a couple of dollars. Nice selection of Vermont products plus so much more. Could easily spend hours just looking at everything! Could easily be a one stop shop for all your needs!

Vermont has a number of attraction Country Stores, and this is one of them. It is a great place to browse for just about anything and everything. Books, candy in jars, nostalgic candy and chocolate bars (they even sell Sky Bars!), clothing, books, toys, Vermontiana, maple syrup, old fashioned ketchup, jams and jellies, knick-knacks, maps, puzzles, animal toys, decorations, seasonal trimmings, napkins and placemats, etc. etc. I really like places like this. When you visit Shelburne, this store is a required stop: unique, eclectic, and a wonderful treasure hunt. And yes, among other things, I did buy several Sky Bars. I love 'em but these days you can't find them most places.

This is the kind of store you wished you had in your hometown, where you could run in for candy or a card, or the perfect gift for just about anyone. Plenty of "made in Vermont" products, quirky tchotchkes, along with nice gifts as well. Peruse to your heart's content.

A person could get lost in this store for hours. It is filled with so many interesting items around every corner and shelf. It was fun to step back In time one minute and see something brand new the next.

This slightly-off-the-beaten-track store is filled from end-to-end with an eclectic and amazing pot-pourri of items; many of which will appeal to almost any visitor. From the many Christmas items (which were located at the FAR end of the store when we visited) to the quirky cards and the many other gift items that had us smiling and chuckling for the hour or more we spent exploring its contents, we enjoyed sharing each discovery with one another, as well as with other visitors we had never seen before! We even told folks at home that they HAD to go there on their next visit!

We stopped in as tourists, having seen a brochure for the Country Store. There was nothing in there that you couldn't get anywhere else...Chinese junk, stuffed animals, toys, Christmas ornaments, kitchen gadgets. The one save was the amazing display and choice of Baggallini purses and bags....great prices on them. We also had the maple flavored ice cream. It was okay. Wasn't worth the half hour we spent in there. Skip it.

We stopped in at The Shelburne Country Store and it was a fun visit with many, many Vermont items to purchase. It has a little of everything and seems to go on and on. This is a store full of nostalgia (and souvenirs of course) and you can spend a lot of time there without even realizing it. This was definitely worth the stop in a lovely town.

I moved to Vermont in 1967 and the Shelburne Country Store was here then. It has changed hands over the years but the concept has stayed the same--great Vermont products and nice gifts. Jams, jellys, fudge and penny candy are just a few of the things you will find here. Also maple creamies. Worth making this a part of your visit to the Champlain Valley of Vermont.

One thing I found there was a chutney I like and can no longer find near my home. Good selection of homemade chocolates. Trinkets, souvenirs, cheap Christmas ornaments, inexpensive jewelry. Ambience charming,.

Making a trip over to Vermont I always a stop in to The Shelburne Country Store as they have the best fresh candy black licorice, chocolates too.If you are looking for a gift, this is the place.I also make a trip over to purchase old fashion candy canes. They are so fresh and taste amazingMade the old fashion way, that I remember as a kidChristmas would not be the same without these large canesThis really is an old fashion country store, which I prefer not like the run of the mill gift shop for tourists!

When you walk into the Shelburne Country Store you may not be aware that the space is much larger than it looks. So, keep walking towards the back and you will find masses of interesting items - some made in Vermont - and a variety which goes from candy to designer purses. Give yourself plenty of time to look - there is a surprise around every corner! I cannot say for sure whether it is possible to use a wheelchair or stroller in this store, or if there is a public bathroom, but you can call them - they are very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of places to eat in Shelburne, and of course there is plenty of delicious candy in the store!

We stopped in after touring a couple of colleges in the area. I aways enjoyed getting candy at this store when I was a kid. I am almost 50 and selection is as good as I remember it. The barrels of spearmint and banana taffy are great! Friendly service, they gift wrapped an item for my wife. If my kid picks a school in the neighborhood we will stop in regularly.
