We have made several trips to the Rocksino Buffet but have to say we were a bit disappointed last Friday afternoon 9/19/14 for lunch. The bread basket was almost empty and a server brought out a plastic bag of white rolls that she opened and poured into the basket and they had green / black mold all over them ! She hastily grabbed MOST of them up and then proceeed to empty another bag into the basket with a few of the moldy rolls still remaining in the basket. Yuch.

Joined a few friends for a day trip there; had a nice time. Great promotions at times. Lots of penny slots; my money stretches farther this way. A couple of my friends won on the quarter slots! Had lunch at the food court and what a deal; best burger in ages and inexpensive; YUM! This place is easy to access and a fun day can be had by all.

This is a slots only casino but there is a good variety of slot machines. This is a non smoking casino but there are designated areas for those that smoke & slot machines in these areas. We usually eat at the buffet which has a nice variety of food. There are four places to choose from to eat. Each place is nice but rather steep in prices except for the buffet. Music playing throughout the casino is a nice variety. The staff are very helpful & friendly. Overall this is a very nice casino.

It has been a long time since I have been to Northfield Park and the Racino was a very nice surprise. Hard Rock Casino was really a nice addition to the complex, we ate at the buffet the food was well worth the wait, I really enjoyed my time at the Northfield park and Hard Rock casino, I would definitely come back the next time I am in Cleveland to see the Performance of the Singing Angels.

The attention to the "Rock" theme here is worth the visit! Nice casino, with smoking areas off the side of the building. Good music too! Lots of newer slots (this is a slot only casino) and some old favorites as well. Have eaten at the buffet, and it is ok. Wait staff can be a little slow coming around at times, but we usually visit early in the morning, so that might explain it.

I love racetracks and my first (finally) visit to Northfield was interesting. A retro-looking track from the outside. Mish mash on the inside. Unhealthy food but enjoyed their veggie burger. This place should be on the upswing due tot he Hard Rock Casino, but the two places are not connected which is telling. Upstairs seating would have been nice but it was closed. Post parade starts WAY too close to the actual start of race, shutting out many bettors. I'll come back but this place needs a purpose and direction. And help from the Hard Rock people/

It is not only about the horses now...the HARD ROCK casino is going in there and will open in the fall 2013. The race experience of the trotters is always fun to bet and watch. Easy to get to and get around in.

Well I have to say I went with a group and I don't think we intended to watch all of the harness racing but as we sat there time just flew by. We placed small bets and one of the track regulars showed me how to place bets. They had a snack bar and a lounge area but we sat outside the majority of the night watching the races. It was an overall good time.

I've been to over 50 racetracks and love the sport. I've been to Northfield several times while visiting my brother in Cleveland. The most recent time I saw some things I didn't like. The self-betting machines are antiques and in a business where wagering is the name of the game, these obselete machines are slow, confusing, and of poor quality. Another problem is that the races don't go off consistently and you can't believe what the toteboard has posted as "minutes to post". The post-parade starts often with no minutes to post. On another race, we thought we had time but we got shut out. Also, beer prices are ridiculous. They average $5 a piece. (That is what is charged at the Saratoga thoroughbred track in NY which is one of the BEST racing venues.) They did put in a new floor in the grandstand area which looks good but better or( bettor) money should have been put into the self-betting machines or at least hire a few more tellers. The quality of horses is not very high but that's o.k. as long as the races are competitive.
