I stumbled upon this treasure of a brewery through sheer luck, and boy am I glad. Dragon's Gate is a true farmhouse brewery, located between Milton-Freewater and Walla Walla, it's a hidden value that is worth the drive. They are expanding their capacity with a new brewery building being built, but they still have the original small farm shed where they brew and sell their amazing Belgian Style beers.On nice days, being able to sit on the cement patio outside and enjoy a spectacular view of the Blue Mountains while you sip on a Wit, or Dubbel is priceless. The Belgian drafthorses that graze nearby just add to the ambiance. For your convenience they offer smaller 32oz Growlers or Bottles to take home and I am sure you will find one of their offerings worthy of that. Make sure you get their early enough in the day that they haven't sold out of their more popular taps, as they do have a limited selection. They usually post their offerings on their facebook page to update you on what's available.

Love this place! Located on a small farm property just a few miles southwest of Walla Walla, Washington in Milton-Freewater, Oregon, this nano-brewery serves its delicious, small-production Belgian-inspired craft ales from a shed. Do a tasting, learn a little about their process and then take a beer out to a lawn chair to relax in the sun. I especially like the Belgian IPA.
