Love going on the train rides. Dinner is fun, the fair train is great because it beats the car parking problems. Going on the Polar Express very soon and introducing my grandson to the big trains for his first time.

Very interesting train museum. You can walk around on all passenger trains. Kids loved it. Took the train ride up to Atlanta and back. Want to return with the Grandparents.

We did the fireworks over Morse Lake train. The kids thought it was very cool. Not bad priced. Spent the entire day in Cicero waiting for fireworks. Train is older but clean. Doubt we do it again but fun one time experience for kids.

From beginning to end, customer experience was the paramount priority. We were greeted with friendly, knowledgeable volunteers, who had a thorough knowledge of both this railway, cars and rail transportation in general. They kept us informed of timelines, stops, and things to do during our stop. A 5 year old and a 3 year old were equally mesmerized. We spent our time between rides in downtown Noblesville, with a picnic lunch, ice cream, and a visit to the local museum.

This is a great destination. For those that love the great age of the "Iron Horse" and watch the restoration of a by gone era, will love this museum. It is located in historic Forest Park which, though small, is a snapshot of the days of the true Midwestern city parks.

There are only a few train cars open that you can walk through, the rest of the "Museum" is shut down and in dissarray.

Unless you are like me, and want an occ ride on a caboose , this is a place for a 10 and younger. My husband and I took our teenage sons and our one sons girlfriend on the Pizza Train. Sure, we talked and enjoyed each other's company on the train, but that is mainly because there wasn't much to see out the window most of the time. Once you get to the area for the Pizza place, you then have to walk a bit. Please, make sure you know how far the walk is.

Great 1 time staff is very nice and helpful just lacking the donations to restore everything like some of the big museums

If you have a little one who loves trains then this is a great little place. Once they ate old enough to see all the rust and spray paint then the magic wears off. We will stick to the excursions as those have never let us down.Be sure to ride the Pumpkin Train, State Fair Train, Pizza Train, and Polar Express

There are a number of old rusting trains laying around in the yard to look at, but that is about it. Not much of a museum. The trains you ride on are not in the best condition. One of the bathrooms was closed due to the floor having rusted out. You could see the tracks through the holes! The trains themselves are kind of unkept. It is fun to ride the train to the state fair, but cross your eyes you don't get seated in a car that doesn't have a working AC unit. If you are a railbird, this may be a fun visit, but if you are not a railbird, your time could be better spent at a different museum.

This little gem is a definite not to be missed. Especially if you are lucky enough to run into Ed or Craig. We got a guided tour and learned some of the most interesting things about trains.

This is such a cool way to get to the State Fair. Parking is much easier the further away you are. We had a great experience, we were able to rest a bit after a busy day before we got in the car and went home. It was a lot of fun for my kids. It isn't often anymore we can travel by train for must of us.

I have always loved trains. There are some very nice historic pieces cars and locomotives. During the Indiana State Fair the "Fair Train" operates between Fishers, IN and the State Fair Grounds. They also have special ride during the holiday season and for the 4th of July. You don't want to miss the "Pizza Train" either.

We took the train to the Atlanta New Earth Festival and had a really nice time. The grand daughter really enjoyed her first time on a train! We intend to take a dinner train sometime soon, I think it would be a nice thing to do for a brithday. Forrest Park is an excellent park, and right outside the gates of the museum, so you can make a day of it with a picnic and a visit to see the trains!

Have not been there in quite a while. But I am glad to read that Monon RR is still being featured. Indiana has a rich railroad history and also a great potention for passenger rail, but current INDOT impervious to requests for improvment and support of passenger rail. Governor Daniels in particular has no imagination about futrue of passenger rail in Midwest.
