This s a grand old building, well-maintained. My ancestors helped build it so we shared some pride. Go see the courtroom. Security prevents use of camera, so leave them in the car.

I graduated from laporte HS and family is still there. My daughter is buried there and I go back to visit her grave site along with my parents yearly.

This courthouse is very impressive with its clock tower and 272 glass paneled skylight. Located smack dab in the downtown center -- most prominent red brick building built in 1832.
