It is a very small zoo but great for little children especially. What I love most about it is the beautiful plants and flowers. They are absolutely amazing. Worth the trip just for that!
We love this lil zoo and buy a family pass every year even tho it is free to the public. It is just the perfect size. Not too big not too small. They hold all kinds of activities all year around for the community/youth. In the summer it's nice and shaded and a beautiful stroll. When we have out of town company it is the first place we take them. My lil granddaughter loves it!
Although zoos are not my favorite type of attraction, I do recommend this one because of its excellent horticultural details. They also have lots of great fun educational programs for children.
We really love taking our kids here! This was our second visit, but the first time we had time to go through the entire thing. I just love the landscaping in this zoo, and you can tell they take great pride in keeping it up well! There are several animals for your kiddos to see and enjoy, and they are really close up! You definitely can't beat this for a FREE zoo. Great activity for your kids!
Flint just turned one year old. Lisa the Zoo Director continues to make this a better zoo. Colleen, the Education Coordinator has classes on Mon, Wed, and Fri. We go every year. Visit soon. Spring and Summer will find this place in full bloom, from the many plantings
The park is a very nice picnic area and there is the most wonderful small train that takes the kids (big, little, young, old) around the perimeter. It brought back great memories for us and would create the same for the kids.. The zoo is not a huge zoo, but the animals were where you could easily drive through and see them. Their homes were clean and natural. An easy stop on the way through Emporia.
While visiting my son and looking for something to do, he suggested visiting the zoo. It's free ! It was a shock to see the beautiful landscaping and as many animals for being such a small zoo. We were very impressed. It's well worth a visit if your passing through town.
This was a very well landscaped small zoo. It had a very easy to walk path that can be done in about an hour or two.
Ok I have to say I landscaping in this zoo is the best I have seen in a long time! It is a smaller zoo but I enjoy it very much. We saw some animals that we have never seen before. If you get a chance you should stop by. Oh and it free!
This little zoo was a bit of a surprise. It's very small, but seems to be carefully maintained. Lovely walking paths, with beautiful landscaping. The animal pens are small but the animals seems to be healthy and well cared for. Children or gardeners will love to visit here. And it's free!
Was very impressed with how beautiful this small free zoo was. Was a nice stop with great sceneryWould defiantly stop by again if in the area. Added plus is there is no cost!
Relatively small zoo but a great place to go and spend some time with the kids. There is a lake with a lot of ducks, which is my son's favorite part of the zoo. There is also a playground for kids. Train ride is available in the summer.
This is a great place to get the family out of the house. The plants and flowers are beautiful and well-maintained and there is a play area. There is a nice variety of animals for a small town zoo. Admission is FREE!
This zoo is only about 5 acres but the landscaping is probably one of the best I have ever seen in a zoo. Maybe not a big zoo but it does have many different species of animals and well laid out. For a free zoo, I was very impressed with how well it I taken care of.
This zoo is amazing. Not a lot of exotic animals but very interesting and the plants and vegetation around the zoo are almost worth the trip all by themselves. Great family trip and there is a miniature train in the park also. Great place to picnic and spend a couple of hours .
