It's not often when a public pool is done this well. Rates are reasonable activities are endless and it is fun for all ages in the family. A large covered picnic pavilion along with lounge chairs in both sun and shade, everyone is bound to find something they like. Parking can be an issue, so just get there early to ensure your choice seats and day full of fun.

I have a 3 year old son and he loves this pool. The kiddie area of the pool has many cool fountains and interactive water displays. It's very nice. They also have a large covered picnic area. The prices are pretty reasonable. I wish they had more parking, though. But we love to visit this pool!

A great way to spend the day during the summer in Lawrence is take the kids to the Lawrence Outdoor Aquatic Center. It is a zero entry pool that is well maintained with an eye on safety of the swimmers. Speical areas designated for the younger children and more active areas for the teenagers to play water basketball, etc.
