Had a wonderful time with my 6 year old daughter. She loved nearly all of the rides including the go karts with me, roller coasters and the bumper boats where we got to shoot each other with water! There are lots of different rides here and many "retro" rides. Nice miniature golf course. I had a Groupon that I used, otherwise it may get a little pricey. I think if you brought a family of 4 and got the best wristband, it would be almost $90. They do allow you to bring in picnic lunches, so that would help offset some of the cost.

Love love love this little treasure of a place. Have been bringing the kids here for many years. Such a family friendly place. Very reasonable prices to get in - based on age / height of child and what you want to do. Snacks can be purchased for reasonable prices and you can also bring in your lunch and enjoy watching the other families and plan your adventures! The workers we have encountered have all been very friendly. A GREAT way to spend a few hours - especially for the little ones.

My siblings and I went to Little Amerricka again this year, as it remains the "most bang for your buck" amusement park for hundreds of miles. It has a great selection of the classic rides never get old- and there's something for everyone- it's great in that respect. The place is immaculately clean, and the lines on everything are short- the longest being for the Meteor roller-coaster, which is ten minutes at most. For less than $100 all 4 of us could ride whatever we wanted as many times as we wanted, and after about 3PM we had the place largely to ourselves without lines on anything. For amusement park buffs, you're unlikely to find a nicer Roll-O-Plane, cable-drive Ferris Wheel, or Chance Toboggan anywhere in the country- Mr. Merrick had all the rides wonderfully restored. They run discount and promotion codes in the off-season, so I highly recommend their email newsletter, as you can get a gold (unlimited) pass for a fraction of the price. This year I was really pleased to see that the place had done some serious repair and repainting across the park- every where you look there's something that's been recently improved, repainted, or updated, and that's really nice to see from a park this size. Still my go-to destination for that "Summer Carnival" experience.

It's a cute throwback kind of place - the rides look like they are far older than the park itself, and I think that is because they have actually gotten them from other venues (that's what I've heard). To be honest, many of the rides look like they are about to come apart, which is a little scary. The ride workers we encountered were actually terrific. It was a hot busy day and they were all working hard to make it a nice experience. Even the girl at the ticket booth was nice enough to look up our online purchase when my brother forgot to bring his vouchers. Why not more stars? It doesn't feel like a very nice place. We waited in a long line to get in the door. We waited in long lines for the rides, although it was a holiday weekend. No place to get food or go to the bathroom except at the one indoor concession stand. Although the place is small, so maybe that's enough, but it was a long wait to get a snacks for the kids. You can seriously walk from one end of the place to the other in about 1 minute. FOOD IS NOT GREAT. Slushies had a funny flavor, nacho chips were a tiny bag (not fresh chips) and a very small amount of cheese in the plastic tray (additional cheese and jalapenos are extra). Not to be mean but it's kind of a motley crue of a crowd. One woman was standing near the entrance to the water bumper boats smoking a cigarette. My kids didn't want to go near the ride, so I had to tell her there is no smoking at Little Amerricka. She said she didn't know that and put it out, but seriously does someone need to tell you not to smoke around a bunch of small kids at a carnival.Tip: buy the tickets online and save money. After Thanksgiving I think they are half price for the next year so instead of a gift card for Madison-area nieces and nephews, get them all gold bands to Little Amerricka.

We visited on the opening day of 2014. Husband and I took a 14 year old and our 1 year old daughter. We all had a blast. Train ride was the highlight of the day--it was so relaxing and fun to see the animals. I was able to take my 1 year old on quite a few rides. We did wish they had a few more thrill rides. Bumper cars were really fun, and we don't typically do bumper cars. I ranked it 4/5 because the ticket booths were a pain...we printed vouchers from home and it took a long time to get wristbands.

This is a great little amusement park! Our 4 & 6 year old daughters loved it! Rides are very age appropriate for them & we were able to do almost all of the rides in the 6 hours we were there! Plenty of room to have a picnic lunch & it's great that non-riding guests do not have to pay for a wristband, like some of the larger amusement parks. Only suggestion would be to add more restrooms throughout the park & additional mens restrooms.

My husband and I had gone by Little Amerricka a couple weeks ago and checked it out and decided to bring the granddaughters (and their mother ;) ) One is 3 and one is almost 8. We got our wrist bands (based on the size of child or the kind of rides they want to ride). The 3 year old did the kiddie rides. She rode some rides over and over. The staff was amazingly patient with a little girl who couldn't decide whether she wanted to ride the 3 car or the 6 car as she likes both numbers very much. The big girl rode the Meteor (old wooden roller coaster) and all the other "big" rides with her Papa. We all did a couple rides on the Whiskey Express (railroad) and it was relaxing and we got to see some animals up close. We stopped in the afternoon to get some drinks and treats and they were reasonable both in price and quality. The park is small, so walking around is easy. You are parked close enough to your car that you can go back and get anything you don't want to drag around the park. We left at closing (6 p.m.) with the girls asking when they could come back again. They were exhausted (as was Nana). Don't go expecting the sparkle and lights of Six Flags (nor the crowds, the cost, or the cranky employees).

I'm a grandpa and thought this was a great place to bring my grand kids. They have lots of carnival rides that you old people will remember and kids still love today. For less than $20 per kid they can go on rides all afternoon. You can bring your own picnic or buy food there at reasonable prices. Make sure you old people at least ride the train. Recommend for kids 3-12.

We went here over the 4th weekend with our little one! The wrist bands are so reasonably priced we could not believe it! She could ride all the rides she wanted for hours! The amount you save compared to the county fair rides is awesome! It was hot and we were also pleasantly surprised to find the prices on food and beverages were cheap too! The hours are strange so I would recommend looking at the website first to check the schedule. Wrist bands are priced by height and parents can purchase the same one as their kids. The train was so awesome! Takes you outside the park a ways and we saw horses, zebras and a few other animals! We saw a poster advertising Halloween for the pumpkin patch train, so we will likely be back in October!

We take our family here every year...2 of the years we purchased the season tickets which saves a lot if you want to go more than 3 or 4 times. They have carnival type rides, nothing extremely scary like at Great America. They have 1 ride that even goes upside down, my kids love that one. This is the perfect park for kids that are not ready for a big place like Great America. And the perfect size, my family can split up and not have that "lost" feeling...we always find each other easily. Here's the best part...there is almost no waiting for rides! I just can't do 1 hour waits and everything here is almost immediate. The ride operators are some of the friendliest bunch I seen in comparison to other places. They keep the place immaculate, everything looks well maintained and freshly painted. (I recommend you skip going on the "Mad Mouse" roller coaster though...it really jerks you around). The people who own this seem to take a lot of pride and care in everything. Overall, this is a great hidden gem, excellent!!! If you have a family, you have to take them here! I'm very grateful such a nice place is by me...

We visit this park at least once per year, as we live 2 hours away. Once again, this year Little Amerricka did not disappoint. Regardless of what level of wrist band you pay for, my wife, I and our 7 year old still say the train rides alone are always worth the cost of admission, especially compared to any other entertainment for the family. Also the food is GOOD and INEXPENSIVE. Leave the picnic baskets at home. You can get a good burger, large fries and a Pepsi for under $5.00. We also had soft serve ice cream cones for $1.50 each that were HUGE. But this park isn't just about price. The original founder made the park because he wanted to offer a family park that was fun, clean and affordable and that continues to be their mission and our experience. The gold wrist band gives you EVERYTHING including unlimited: Go Carts, gas bumper boats, train rides, roller coasters, etc -- and is worth every penny. Compared to the Dells or Great America (Six Flags), where we live near, there is NO comparison in terms of VALUE. The park is clean, the rides well maintained, and the folks that work there are very NICE and FRIENDLY. And for amusement park nostalgia buffs, this has all the classic old time rides that have been acquired and refurbished to pristine condition from long gone amusement parks through out the U.S.

We went with my 4 children, ages 3-9. There was so much for them to do. The older kids loved the bumper cars, go carts, tilt-a-whirl and the wooden roller coaster (the metal ones were pretty rough on everybody). The younger kids enjoyed the kiddie land, the train ride and the Ferris wheel. We all had fun spraying each other on the bumper boats. Our only disappointment was that it's only open from 12-5 PM, which we didn't realize, so we ran out of time to try everything. Definitely plan on spending all day there. The price isn't bad, especially since you can get different levels of wrist bands for the younger kids since they can't ride on everything. We will definitely go again!

I was here last year with my wife and child and had a great time until we had a little mishap involving getting grease on us from a ride. The manager, Darrell, told us that he would 'make it right'. This year we returned. Darrell made it right with 3 free gold passes! This place is such a treasure. It's a perfect outing for the whole family. There is really no way to get more bang for your buck.

If you want to spend some quality time with your children/grandchildren ETC. This is the perfect place. I take my granddaughter there who is 7 and we have a terrific day together. It is a very small scale of Great America and the rides are not just for kids, adults can ride as well. YOu can eat there or take a picnic. For the price it is excellent and you do not have to keep spending money as there are only a few concessions and a small shop. A train takes you around the park and the rides are fairly tame. The roller coaster is a lot of fun and there's smaller rides for little ones. Depending on what wrist band you buy there is also bumper boats and mini golf. It won't wear you out and you can have an enjoyable afternoon. It is open until 5 everyday and there is also a birthday area where you bring in your own food. In the fall there is a pumpkin train and the kids can get pumpkins for Halloween. I really recommend this for children of all ages but may become a little boring for older high school age, but it is as fun as you want to make it. My granddaughter and I have been there several times and she always wants to go back. Go and check it out. You wont be sorry. This is a very safe place to take your family, as well.

Perfect for my kids ages 8-10. They liked the rides and enjoyed being able to run from ride to ride. The staff is very helpful and kind. There are some great coupons out there (ie. gold wristbands for $11) so this is an inexpensive day trip, especially because you can bring in snacks/drinks.
