markies mini-golf

I went to Markies 3x this past summer. The first time was alone after a long work week and I was welcomed and educated. I enjoyed the round of golf mainly for the scenery on the holes and the surroundings. It was not hard to imagine being on a weekend vacation in the poconos. I purchased a Nelsons ice cream cup which I thoroughly enjoyed. I thought the price was good as well. I had fun playing and competing with the water traps. It is a good place to go as part of a date or with friends. there was a large family in front of me on one of my visits and they took so much time that the couple behind me skipped holes and went back to them later. The family eventually left. When I went with a couple of friends our rules were if you do not get it in the hole in 5 shots you enter 6 on the card and keep going.that is a good rule to follow to keep things moving at a fairly good pace

We can only say that although this is a fun place, we thought it was too expensive ($7 round plus kids begging for ice cream when we were through!). We were there with five grandchildren and four adults so it wasn't cheap and the wait was long. Have never seen any coupons to help defray the cost but that would help. Was not impressed with the customer service. I think $5 is a fair price for mini golf......kids would be able to maybe play more often. Just an opinion.

We enjoyed the day golfing at Markies. The cashier was very friendly. The cost of $7 pp gets you unlimited games which is a bargain. The golf course itself is in great shape. You might want to grab and extra ball (especially if you have little ones with you) as their ball is destined to go into the water on some holes. They also have ice cream and limited drink options for purchase.

The staff is nice. The course is just right on the difficulty scale. It moves fast and despite the location to rt 23, you don't hear the traffic. The price is $7 for unlimited play - quite a bargain compared to the prices at the shore for 1 game. You can get Nelson's ice cream onsite too.

This place is all you can ask for if you are interested in a round or two of mini golf. Well maintained. Nice staff.Fun course.The cost was $7 each and we were told to 'go around as many times as you like' - which was about 1 and a half times for us.

Can't say how surprised we were at this often-passed mini-golf. 4 of us went on a very hot day. Not only is this well maintanied and landscaped beautifully, the course was very challenging. Looks easy at first sight (no real obstructions) but turned out to give us all a run for our money. And, talk about reasonable. Only $7.00. That's got to be the bargain of mini golf just about anywhere. Have fun. We did!!

This is a nice mini golf course. Too bad my kids were screamed at by the owner for cutting through to get new golf balls after their's were lost in the water (the fun and interesting part of the course). There isn't a sidewalk to allow you to cut back through without stepping over someone else's green. The owner came running after my kids yelling at them with her arms in the air for them cutting through. There was no other way back to me. They HAD to cut through. She was so loud and mean that I heard her way up on the 13th hole! Needless to say I politely confronted her as we were leaving and she was unapologetic and blamed me for having rude children. She easily could have asked my children to wait or shown them calmly another way around (which is impossible). Then she continued to offend me through emails after I reviewed her behavior on Groupon. Not once has she apologized or tried to compromise. We will never go back.

We had a great time at Markies Mini-Golf. This well-maintained and interesting miniature golf course is located right along busy route 724, but it is far enough away from the road that traffic noise is not a distraction. Everything was clean and operable, giving one the impression the owners take pride in the property. There is a small snack shack that serves hand-dipped Nelson's Ice Cream, a local favorite. If you're looking for something to do with the family on a warm summer day, here's a good place to go.
