hel-cat ii fishing boat

I went out with some friends on the Hel Cat for a fishing trip. There was alot of fish caught on the boat. The only problem with this type of trip is they put too many people on the boat. We spent more time getting our lines untangled from other peoples lines than fishing. Other than that it was alot of fun.

The crew of the Hel-cat II were outstanding and very helpful. The duration of the fishing trip was just right. Not too long or too short. Caught plenty of fish. Everyone on board had a great time.

First a word of explination. A "Head Boat" is where you just walk on. They will charge you a reasonable fare (right now $58.00, Vets and Kids less), rent you poles and litterally teach you how to fish. I have been riding the Cat for decades. It is one of the few truly family friendly boats in the fleet. The Glas family has been running head and charter boats since 1947....4 generations. The know where the fish are and will put you right on them. The crew is excellent, they have a full galley on board and the heads are kept clean. Who couls ask for more.
