The Bushnell is a great place to see a show. Lots of character, an attentive, friendly staff, and a fine selection of shows. Recently saw Mark Twain Tonight and it was another fantastic time! You can see anything from plays to concerts and plenty of other events as well. Not a bad seat in the house and there are clean restrooms and drinks available before the show. There is free parking on weekends too. Take the time to see a show at this still brilliant facility, you won't be disappointed.

The glamour inside is beautiful, nicely kept up over the years. Not a bad seat in the house - though I sure would've like to have been closer than the second balcony with my aging eyes! Always come through with terrific shows, can eat before show if you are short on restaurant time. Can get drinks to have during show. Free parking is also a plus across the street.

A beautiful theatre that harkens back to the heydays for Hartford CT. Broadway quality performances for off-Broadway prices. Free parking on weekends across the street. Comfortable seating with excellent views of the stage. Wonderful acoustics. Great family venue.

We recently visited the Bushnell for the Mythbusters and the show was great but it was also great to see it in this venue. Beautiful artwork, atmosphere and clean. The staff was helpful and kind. Multiple bathroom locations decreases the wait time during the intermission. Seats were small but we had a great view even from aisle Y in orchestra. Recommend this location for any show.

Great Holiday show for the kids! Just like the animated version. Good show to introduce the kids to theater being a 90 min show with intermission.

Beautiful theater with fantastic acoustics. The staff were super nice. Leg room is a little short in the balcony.

A treasure that continues to give.. Unlike its stadiums that lose their luster in ten years if so (except Fenway of course). The Bushnell only gets better with age. Hartfords vintage Bordeaux,

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Wicked at the Bushnell last week! This was the fourth performance we have attended at the Bushnell. The theatre is magnificent, the volunteers are helpful and hospitable and the acoustics are great whether you sit in the orchestra or balcony. If you want leg room, do ask for an aisle seat in the balcony. The Bushnell is so conveniently located and the free parking is right across the street! I will still enjoy the occasional Broadway show, but it is great to be able to enjoy theatre in a wonderful venue a short drive from home!

As the back story to the Wizard of OZ this show has so many talented actors, performers and singers. The stars Glinda and Ephraba are a true delights as they brought performance to life. These ladies are will entertain you throughout the show. You have to pay attention to subtle correlations to original Wizard of Oz. Plenty of humor and sadness. With the twist and turn you would expect. Just an all around excellent program. The wife and I agree on this performance.I will go back again. Make you think about people and how life is emulated in this production. Thank tour friends Josh and Loretta for getting the tickets. I had end of aisle row t seat 214 middle orchestra seats. Really all seats are great. Free parking is always a plus in Hartford ...The staff and volunteers are very helpful, they make you feel welcome. Thanks to all who are responsible for putting the fine show together.

I went to go see Wicked with my mom here last weekend and was very impressed by both the performance and the venue. The performance was with the official Wicked tour group and was fantastic. The venue is a beautiful theater located in a section of Hartford that is very easy to navigate. There was also free and abundant parking for the theater-goers, and I was very happy about that! If you are going to see a play and are traveling like we were, though, I would recommend staying at a hotel just outside the city. It's much cheaper and the drive isn't bad at all. I will definitely be looking to attend more shows at The Bushnell!

The performance Sunday evening was outstanding. I have always enjoyed going to the Bushnell theater. However it seems it has lost the essence of a theater. I thought that we would avoid the young toddlars by going to the evening show but we did not. They became restless; breaking apart plastic cups in our ears, rattling on their booster seats, and jumping up and down and walking behind us. Walking out the I noticed the aisles looked like a stadium garbage pit. I think I will go to New York City next time

Visited recently to see "Wicked" & was pleased with what a nice place it was! Had a back row seat but the view was good! Highly recommended!

"Wicked" was well . . . wicked good. Loved the green woman who starred in the show. The musical was entertaining and quite funny. It's been a long time (if ever), that the two main performers of a major production have leading musical and acting roles opposite one another. Loved that. The show was a blissful journey into the never-never land of fantasy. However, getting into the show was a challenge. Seems we were scalped on-line and inadvertently bought tickets that did not exist. The staff at the Box Office were less than helpful stating, "Oh this happens all the time." Mmmmmm, if this is so, then perhaps a notification about ways to resolve the issue, after the fact, could have been more easily attainable at the Box Office so we--the hapless duped--could have worried less during the performance about problem solving the fact that our credit card number had just been stolen. Live and learn, I guess. Anyway, in addition to barely getting in to see the show due to the Box Office delay, another $100 plus had to be dropped for mediocre seats that were not at the caliber of the ones we thought we purchased. Hey, once we settled down all was well. Just sayin'.

The Bushnell is the premiere CT local for watching a Broadway show, and you do not have to travel to NY (not that I don't like to do that). The shows are first rate and the theater is beautiful. The stage is large enough to accommodate the best shows and the acoustics are great. The free parking is just another plus.

We saw Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat October 2014. The sight lines in the orchestra seating was perfect and the sound and lighting was great. You forget your in Hartford. I think they need to update the theatre a bit. Seats resembled my 1980s middle school and mine squeaked a bit. The lobby area wasn't very impressive. The offset for me was the spaciousness, so I keep the review at 5 stars. Free, plentiful parking.
