plaza theatre

As a long, long, long time resident, I remember so vividly paying my QUARTER to see movies in this theater, then being heart-broken watching it sit in ruin for many years. I was thrilled when the city got this piece of property and could not wait for them to "do something with it"! Well it was worth the wait! I have been to many performances here - my daughter even had her studio dance recital here a couple of times. There is always something interesting going on here and it makes my heart happy when I get to go to a movie or performance at The Plaza!

We went here to see an "Elvis Trubute Artist" (ETA) just to have something to do the night we spent in Garland. The show was great--David Allen surely deserves his place in the Top Ten Elvis ETA's earned in national competition. The theater is in a quaint old part of town. I wish we'd arrived earlier to explore the area. The theater is a good size, not tiny not huge. The inside is clean and bright. The seats were comfortable, and the audience experience was enjoyable. I'd love to see a movie here some time. Free street parking. We saw a live benefit performance, so I don't know the movie ticket prices.

The Plaza theater always offers great shows, whether live or classic movies, at great admission prices. It's always quality, family fun.

It is a very nice 'arena' for Shows and Plays in a an Area that might surprise you. But then again most people are surprised at the sophisticated and nice things they can find in Garland!!!

Blast from the past! This place is the iconic presence on the downtown Garland square. I think they have children's theater productions as well as local music groups, etc.

The concert was out of sight. The theatre was so welcoming. We all felt safe there. The people were so friendly.
