We attended a Benefit Concert for COPE, a local not for profit at the Flickinger Center for Performing Arts (a 1950s-era movie theater) and having the event at the Flickinger really enhanced the experience. Just walking under the marquee with the neon lights was a grand feeling, which brought back memories of theaters of my youth. The new carpet and seating was superb. I recommend attending any event at the Flickinger, whether a professional stage company and by a local amateur group.

The Flickinger offers a variety of performances year-round that appeal to all audiences. I have been to see many shows there and am always delighted in the quality of the performances. Whether you live in the Alamogordo area, or are just traveling through, it's worth checking out their performance schedule. Tickets are usually only $10 per person too!

This former movie theater was turned into a theater for performing arts 25 years ago due to the generosity of a local business woman, Margaret Flickinger. There is someone at the theater Monday thru Friday from 9:00AM to 1:00PM to answer any questions you may have & apprise you of the coming attractions. Just recently I attended a Neil Diamond Tribute concert & it was excellent. Check it out.

Alamogordo has renovated and restored an old movie theater and transformed it into a performing arts theater. It seats almost 500 people, and it's a very comfortable theater. The seats have plenty of room and the stage is large. Acoustics are the best.

Good value for the price, and availability to locals. A good mix of local talent and traveling shows. Something for everyone.

Outstanding entertainment for a very cheap price. Lots of variety, local and international culture. Alamogordo is sure a lucky city to have this.

Great venue for the arts in Alamogoro. Nice variety of shows both local and big name. Keep live entertainment in Alamo. Support the arts and enjoy and evening out.

Alamogordo is not considered the hub of culture.....but we do have the Flickinger. Thank goodness. Just saw Arlo Guthrie. Great performance. From ballet to 'circus-type' acts, to cellists, to children's plays - the folks at the Flickinger try to bring a little class to Alamo! Thank you!

The Flickenger is a great place to go watch some local entertainment. As a person active in the performing arts, I find the Flickenger a great place to showcase the local school bands/choirs/ orchestras/jazz groups.

The Nutcracker is so professionally done, you'd think you were in New York! They have many very exciting performances throughout the year.
