We are cross country skiers and we have enjoyed this location for several years. The trails are groomed well and the price is around 6 or 7 for the day. There are some challenging hills to climb, but they are optional. My relatives skied the downhill, and they are used to fancy plans, and they said that the mountain had decent trails. There is also a cabin for some fast food.

The skiing is incredible here! The mountain offers a wide range of different skill level runs. I was surprised at how many runs have been developed since I had been there so long ago!

McCauley is a smaller town run ski facility. Several Olympic skiers started here. Slopes are challenging, but for average skiers there are plenty of safer runs too. There are great views from the top and fun euns.

I was in Old Forge snowmobiling with my sons and took a day for snowboarding at McCauley Mountain. I have been here several times with my family and we have always enjoyed it. Skiing at this small community mountain is a real pleasure. Everything here you want. Nice trails, reasonable rates, ski rentals, and a snack bar. If you want a nice day at a good local ski slope try McCauley Mountain.

We went with another couple and it was such a fun time. It was fall so all the leaves were turning and the view of the water was just breath taking. My friend even brought a bottle of wine so when we got to the top we all got to toast together with a beautiful view.

For $6.00, you need to ride the ski lift just to go to the top of the mountain and sit and enjoy the view. Even the ride from Old Forge up the mountain was nice.

The ride to the top of the mountain is a thrilling experience! I try not to look down because I'm afraid of heights but the view is just spectacular! At the top you can sit in various Adirondack chairs spread in various areas with awesome views and just enjoy the scenery and the foliage. It's a great place to visit. I'd recommend this trip highly. Only one thing I would suggest to the proprietor. We went one year and they had a pit where they were burning a large chunk of cedar. The smell was a memory maker for sure and I would highly recommend that when the chair lift ride is open, they add the smell of a fall fire pit to the charm of this experience. Thank you.

The chair lift was a wonderful trip up, for outstanding views for many miles around, and at $6 it was a real bargain.

We went her for the first time with our two sons (ages 14 and 11). Price was reasonable $6 for adults and $5 for children. Nice ride up with beautiful views of the area. Once you get to the top there is a 20 minute trail walk that was enjoyable. Also there are look-out points at the top of the chair lift.

Great little mountain! Skiied there with family a couple times, and visited in Summer for first time this year. Beautiful views from Chairlift, and a nice hike down.

We took the summer chair lift ride to the top of McCauley Mountain. It was a very warm, windy day and the view was clear and beautiful. With the cost of $5 to ride up and back, it was a bargain!

My husband and I have lived in this area for 30 years and had never been to this attraction until last weekend. We had visitors over from the UK and wanted to show them the difference between New York City (which they had visited earlier in their vacation) and New York Adirondacks. We had a spectacularly nice day, low humidity and outstanding views. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and reassuring. They have the control to slow or even stop the ride to accommodate elderly or disabled customers to mount and dismount the chairs. Highly recommend this place (follow the signage, it is off the beaten path) for leaf peeping this fall. Six bucks per person for adults, seniors go for five. cheap thrills. great place for a date.

Every year we take the ride to the top of McCauley Mountain. We simply cannot get enough of this place! You can clearly see the beauty of the Adirondack Mountains from this location!

We love the chairlift to the top of the mountain. The views from the top are so beautiful. It gives you a great perspective on the area and a glimpse into how vast the Adirondack Mountains are. It's worth the $6 for this ride and contributing to the mountain's operations. Don't just stand at the the top. Take your time at the top and walk around a bit. There are views from all different places, namely each of the ski runs. Don't rush and enjoy the views. The ski and snowboard back chairs are cool!
