I have played golf at many courses throughout New England and found the course itself in great shape, but other than the snack cart driver, Chi Chi, it did not feel friendly at all, she was super! There were constant rangers observing our play, spoke with us twice about playing "ready golf" on the fairway, which I thought was over the top, we were not slowing anyone down. We were keeping up with the group ahead of us, no open holes, and we actually had to wait a number of times. We were four women playing and I sincerely hope this did not affect this type of scrutiny, not sure we would return.

What a great way to spend a week in the summer! We were part of a group of 45 people who stayed in campers, tents, and park homes. None of us were disappointed! As a larger group, there was some concern about earlier reviews regarding the rules being strictly enforced. We never had a problem. We stayed up past quiet hours sitting at the campfire. While security did come by, they didn't bother us as we were not being obnoxious and disturbing others. We walked around all hours of the day and night and never had an issue. Again, security was around which was nice, they left us alone. Can't wait to go back next year!

Tripadvisor apparently didn't like my first review as it did not get published, so I guess I need to be to be more politically correct. We travel in a motorhome so we were in the RV area of the resort. First off, if you've ever wanted to visit the golf cart capital of the world, this is the place for you. Absolutely unbelievable amount of golf carts screaming around day and night. Drinking and driving golf carts seems to be acceptable here. This golf cart issue alone was a big Debbie Downer and reason enough that we would never go back to this resort again. The employees while all very friendly, don't seem to be well informed about the resort as a whole. The general store workers knows nothing about the Marina and the Marina workers know nothing about the snack bar hours ect ect ect, you get the idea. Just seemed odd to us that all employees were not "ambassadors" for the resort. Point Sebago is another one of those RV parks that claims to offer free Wi-Fi internet. I was not able to connect a single time in our week long stay. While no fault of the resort, the cell service is also very spotty, so getting an internet connection via your phone was a chore. If you need internet while vacationing you might want to look into this. Perhaps it's better if you are renting a house, but in the RV area the Wi-Fi was basically non existent. The beach area and the Lake overall are very nice. But this was not enough to offset the negatives. My suggestion if you are RV'ers like us, look elsewhere.

I won't go back to point sebago golf course . I think if you play the front nine in 2 1/2 hours on a busy day no matter how many groups are behind you or if the next hole is open , your foursome is playing at a good clip. But apparently that isn't fast enough for some folks or the management of point sebago. We were asked to leave the course after the 10th hole and " play another time, compliments of the pro" because we let a faster group play through. Um, no. I paid to play today, not come back and play another time when it's more convenient for you. The condescending tone that the " pro " used talking to us after a humiliating ride in from the 11th tee was totally unacceptable. With all the great courses in Maine, please don't to waste your time on one that values speed over enjoyment.

I think it is the best vacation spot that I have ever been to!Something for everyone in the family to do.A true family vacation that has activities for everyone, kids and adults. If you want, you don't have to leave for anything, they have a store, resturants, golf, movies, entertainment, boating, cruises, almost everthing. My kids and wife love it there, I already made my reservations to go again.

There area lot of great courses out there and some very nice ones in Maine - PS Golf is one of them. Lots of terrain for all levels - challenging but fun. Course can be walked but most ride. Some holes are great to reach others need a little more strategy. I have played early morning, midday and late and all times provide a little different perspective on the course. Little buggy in the Spring - especially a few holes but nothing a little bug spray can't solve... Course is maintained impeccably. A nationally acclaimed course to try and reasonably priced and a great deal

I have previously posted great things about the resort and golf course. Last summer, while planning our 3rd annual trip, we ran into a problem with customer service. If you read the web site, golf packages, it advertises that if you stay at least two nights mid-week, you get a third round free! There is another sentence that also claims that you are eligible for early check-in outside of the dates listed. On our two previous trips, we were given a free round on day of arrival, but this year they stated that since we were within the blackout dates(as both our previous stays were) we were not going to get the free round. After much discussion, we were told that we would not get the free round. Its to bad, as they lost a customer, not only for golf vacations, but for family get aways. I visited the resort 3 times in two years, twice for a golf trip, and once for a week long family vacation. Customer service was extremely poor!!!

My husband and I live in Colorado, but I grew up in New England and wanted to get married on Lake Sebago, where I spent much of my childhood. Planning a wedding and reception from Colorado was easy working with Ruth York and her team. We were married on a bridge on the resort over the lake, and our reception was in the Pine Room. Our guests loved being escorted to the Pine Room reception on the wedding golf cart. The fresh Maine lobster and clam chowder were a hit, and the wide open room with hard wood floors was perfect for dancing the night away! I would definitely recommend booking a wedding and reception at Point Sebago if you are looking for a laid back, no stress, fantastic time!

Wide open. Almost all the holes are by themselves so you hardly ever see any other other golfers. Just beautifull!!

Very pretty course with a lot to offer. Good deals if you check online or local newspapers. Great staff. Nice putting green. Could use a little better driving range.

Point Sebago is good for the family (NOT LOCALS) who saved their $ all year to take the family for a vacation spent in a trailer by the lake. They do have activities for kids but my vacation would end here after day one!Camp Sunshine is their saving grace...But when my little niece & nephew were terminal, Camp Sunshine wouldn't allow them there because they had a DNR order. My niece died@11 yrs & my nephew died at 2 years of age.

We decided to have a change of pace and play the Point Sebago Golf Resort. First of all they don't have much training in the customer service department. The outside of the clubhouse was complete chaos, we had to wait twenty minutes for a cart. Once we got that all take care of, we drove about five minutes to the first hole. There we were greeted by a staff member who did not have much customer interaction experience. He asked for our receipts, so he could log in our time, I felt like he was checking to see if we stole the golf cart. He gave us a fifteen minute speech about the course rangers and they are watching you, so don't do this or don't do that. After that the entire round went downhill, it is a timed course so if you aren't on schedule you get some staff member chasing you down telling you to step it up. We quit after nine holes. Golf is supposed to be relaxing not a stressed out assembly line.

On July 7th-14th my husband and I and our 3 children, ages 14, 11 and 6 vacationed at Point Sebago for the 1st time. We stayed in a Park home, which was a small Mobil Home or trailer. Now I understand that the laws have changed regarding that anything more than 2 kids, you have to pay extra for, (or even rent 2 rooms in a hotel). For the amount of money we had to pay extra for my third child was crazy! He had to sleep on the floor because he couldn't fit on the small, (Mayflower, pilgim type bed). I had to go about 10 miles to the nearest wallmart to buy an earo-mattress! We spent 1700.00 dollars just for this trailer/ mobile home, for my child to sleep on the floor!

I've read many of the reviews here to make sure I am not looking into my own situation too much. My feelings are validated. Also, to the Public Relations person answering to only the negative reviews - Please stop making excuses. You really need to fix the problems that people are reporting. Otherwise, they won't give you another chance. My family was seasonal at Point Sebago for many years when I was growing up and we loved it! Eventually, as we got older, we stopped for reasons that I don't know. But, I loved it so much that I decided to bring my own family there so that my children can experience the same fun things that I did while I was growing up. Boy, how times change.....I will say that PS has been built up a bit since I last went there and when I first got there, I was pretty impressed. But, once I walked around a bit and the staff was stone faced and didn't even say Hi while walking by you - Not even after I said it to them. That's when I started to get the feeling that this wasn't the place that I came to as a kid. They tout their many activities that they offer and give you a sheet with the "Activities" listed when you check in. Really? The General Store opening is an "Activity?" I could make a long list of these things that are considered "activities." But, I don't want to bore you. Not just that, they charge you for EVERYTHING!!!! And OVERCHARGE, I might add. I spent more money on this 3 day weekend than I paid for an entire All-Inclusive trip to a resort in Aruba.I will say that this was the worst vacation that I've had in a very long time and I won't be bringing my family back anytime soon. I guess that we'll have to make our own fun and traditions elsewhere.
