Missed the sunset because we had 4 different GPS locations that lead us to gated communities. Someone help? I would love to have seen it and am here once for an hour :-(

Love getting out and hiking the Pinnacles! Not to hard of a climb and a view well worth it! I often go up for a mid day work out or relaxing walk - generally spend a few hours on the trails getting lost and going off in any direction.

Amazing vistas. We were accompanied by Aberdeen, the local trail dog...we called him a trail angel...for some of the hike. Enjoyed the hike. We went to the East Pinnacle...great views. At one point on the trail just beyond the Pinnacle, we were stopped by this foul smell. It was either a bear, a decaying carcass, or Big Foot. We didn't see either. So, hike on with a faster pace...lol

The Pinnacles are such a treasure for the area. Every time I visit Berea, I hike to the top for some contemplative soaking-in of the scene!

Climbing to the top of the Pinnacles was a challenge but not too difficult that you couldn't make the top. The view made the climb well worth it.

Beautiful hike to the top of the pinnacles. Plenty of free parking. Trails good and clean. Good hike, fairly easy, as my two year old granddaughter walked all the way to the top and back without complaining, LOL. Absolutely stunning views at top!!

Great trails and wonderful views. Make sure to have good shoes and water along. Indian Fort view is beautiful. Our teen loved the hike. Wouldn't take small kids unless they like to hike. Going uphill for most of the 1+ mile.

Experienced a great day of hiking and the views were beautiful!! Trails were well kept and not overcrowded! For sure a must see place in Kentucky

We chose to hike to the eastern pinnacle first - glad we did - apparently the western pinnacle is straight up for the last few hundred yards. It was a warm, humid morning and we hardly saw any other hikers. The one we did meet was very knowledgeable and helped us decide which pinnacle to hear towards.

The hike site parking lot is just past a theater on your left down Prospect street. The beginning of the trail is paved. You can hike trails or make a loop. We did the West Pinnacle and the Indian Fort Trail. The beginning of the main trail is pretty steep, but will level out for a good bit. The end of the west pinnacle goes up quite a few rocks and I would not recommend taking small children here. The view is well worth it, spectacular! We came back down and went up the Indian Fort Trail. Again, pretty steep, but a huge flat rock at the top to get some good scenic pics. You could get kids up this area more easily. These two trails together added to about 3.5 miles. Take plenty of water, We were warned by a local to watch for copperheads, but we never saw any.

The Pinnacles in Berea are probably one of the most breath taking views in this part of the state. The hike in itself is absolutely beautiful, but once reaching the top---that is where to true treasure is found. As far as difficulty goes it is very much accessible to the point where I’d recommend to the young and old. If you ever find yourself in Berea and wanting the best view of sunset, I challenge you to hike the Pinnacle and there you will find the best view in town.

I've hiked the Pinnacles many times over the years. There are different trails to take with varying degrees of difficulty. There are lots of beautiful views to see. It's a great place to go for some exercise and to clear your head.

The Berea Pinnacles are simply beautiful in any angle that one can look and/or experience them. I hiked the Berea Pinnacles during Mountain Day of my freshman year at Berea College. It was an experience that I will never forget. My colleagues and I sat at the top of one of the pinnacles and watched the sunset as it rose into the sky. It was a sight that a digital photo could not truly capture, at least not entirely. I highly recommend going to visit the Berea Pinnacles, especially during a sunset. Doing so, makes you feel as if you have become a brand new person. You will not regret it.

just a note to tell you that the .8mil to the indian fort is straight up but the quickest to the top if you can hang
