The views are beautiful. The homes make you feel crowded at times. Other times you are wide open and it feels amazing. Challenging course but tons of fun. Pricing seems about normal

This is a really challenging course set in wonderful country with a stunning mountain back drop. There is a lot of water to be negotiated but the course is fair and a joy to play.

I have played this course for 11 years, and have watched it go from a very nice, challenging, golf course with great views of the Beartooth Mountains that I and my guests really enjoyed, to a one star course that I no longer enjoy playing. The owners are managing the course as a liability rather than an asset, and put as little money as possible into it. With the deteriorating conditions, less people play, and revenue goes down. I recognize it is a challenging time to run a golf course, but I have played many other courses in this region of Montana and Wyoming, and no other course that I have seen is in this bad shape. On the plus side, the views are still great, and the course is definitely challenging. Stay in the fairway (always good advice, but especially here).

Very nice course. Deer running along the creek that runs through. Tough Course, lots of water criss crossing. No matter how much you try not to think about it, it was where my ball ended up about 8 times. Really neat island hole! Definitely check this place out. We went on a Friday during the day on a long weekend and was not busy at all.

This is a long course, especially for women. Overall the course is challenging and has some nice views of vacation homes, a stream winds through the course, so take plenty of golf balls.

Fun course to play, 15 is outstanding with the island green. Coupons available in the local paper that help the price. Will play again

If you're a golfer, the Red Lodge Mountain GC is a nice treat to have in a town that's mostly about fishing, skiing and other mountainly pursuits. The front 9 are a bit like a muni--up, back, up, back--but the rushing mountain streams and mountain views in the distance were a lovely change of pace for a couple of East Coast golfers. The back 9 starts with several wide open holes in the middle of a prairie and then drops down into the valley for a couple of challenging par 3s and then a steep climb back up for a challenging par 5 finish. The course was in outstanding condition in mid-August, although we noticed on this course and another we played in Bozeman that Montanans apparently don't fix their ball marks. Price was right, about $60 for 2 of us with a cart on a Wednesday afternoon. On the first hole, we wished we had better eyesight or a yardage book to tell us that the stream was definitely reachable from the tee. You've been tipped off!
