Hey! Took a bowling class here in 1980 while at Auburn University. My instructor and I were good friends and we typically bowled and drank beer and I got an 'A' in the class.....It was pretty much a set-up for success! Okay! It's the only place to bowl in the immediate area! But bowling is really fun if you're going with your buddies or your honey, especially if your honey has nice buns, and my honey bunny has exceptional ones! Clean, reasonable prices, rarely too crowded! Good clean fun! Great for an occasional good night out but don't make it a habit! If you make it a habit, we're gonna start talkin' 'bout ya! Not cool....
I went there with a couple of friends for the all that you can bowl. The waitress came immediately to see if any of us wanted beers which I am not usually accustomed to in a bowling alley. I ordered a pitcher of beer not thinking to ask about the price, so I paid a lot for that one, but the waitress let me know about some of the specials and made sure that I didn't have an empty beer for the rest of the night. The operator also helped us out immediately if we had any trouble with the lanes. It's not the cleanest place in the whole world, but hey, it's a bowling alley! A suggestion for improvement would be to get more of a selection of bowling balls. We had a shortage of a certain kind because there was damage to the finger holes on a few.
I'd totally forgotten that bowling was fun! All those years of rollin' the ol' hole-ball after Church, and I somehow forgot the smell of rented shoes and lane wax, fried goodies and stale beer. This place brings it all back! Sign up for their email or text alerts, and you will be pleasantly (and frequently) surprised at some of the deals you'll get. Bowling can get expensive for a family in a hurry, but amazingly, kids can bowl here FOR FREE every day, all summer. Whaaat?! They also run Monday and Tuesday night specials for cheaper rates. And even on weekend nights when it is jam-packed with college kids, it's nothing like the weekend alley adventures of my youth when getting hit by debris from a flying chair was just another mild night at the lanes. This place is more along the lines of what I imagine Nixon's secret White House Basement bowling alley must be like.
