autumn hills orchard

We went to Autumn Hills Orchard for PYO raspberries and apples in late September, and had an absolutely wonderful experience! The setting was absolutely beautiful and the people working there were really nice. They had 3 kinds of raspberries (red, darker red, and golden) and they were the sweetest raspberries I’ve ever had. They also had a number of different apples in season, and when we went there was no shortage of crisp, delicious apples in the orchard . They did a good job explaining fruit availability and describing the different kinds of apples. Based on the map, it looks like they have a lot of different kinds of PYO fruit (including peaches, plums, grapes, pears, and in a few years blueberries…) and I’m really excited to go back. Of course, PYO experiences are largely dependent on season and things like that, but I trust this farm to do a good job with whatever the weather gives us. They don’t sell cider donuts or food, though, so don’t go expecting those!
