beautiful bay with great swimming - sandy bottom and calm and mostly protected. There are resorts there, but all beaches are open to the public. Great little open-air bar/restaurant there too, which was a great place to get late lunch and a drink. They had a fellow there playing the steel drums too, which I adore, and it totally made the atmosphere complete. Relaxing, tropical, paradise!

Beach is nice but small and can get crowded once the cruise ship people show up in cabs around 10 a.m. However, the snorkeling is fantastic! You can just swim out from the beach and see beautiful fish. The coral is a little dead, but the fish are beautiful. The dive shop is also great - they even rent magnifying masks for people with bad vision, which helped my husband. The bar nearby has great food and drinks.

I came here solely for the Western view so I can see the sunset. This beach was small in size, and there was limited parking for it is the parking lot of a resort nearby. But it was a nice clean beach, no charge and with decent views so the sunset here was fantastic. I cannot speak for the snorkeling and the afternoon crowds but If your looking for a beach that faces west, this one is more than sufficient.

Secret Harbor is a secret to those driving because the signage is minimal and the turn offs unclear. Make sure you have good directions to this lovely beach on the southeast part of the island to avoid the frustration of driving in circles. It is best to arrive early (9:00am) both for parking and to secure an umbrella rental. Parking is a bit confusing since there is a resort on the beach, as well as a restaurant. There is a stone wall on the left side of the road, across from the resort with signs that state parking is for the restaurant guest only and warn of towing. This IS where non-resort guests may park for the day. (Honest-no problem.)The resort beach is quite nice, dotted with trees, overlooking calm, warm, crystal clear turquoise water and soft white sand. The chairs are for resort guests only. However, the resort beach area is open to those who are satisfied with lounging on their own beach towels. To the right of the resort is a restaurant, and a building with shops including a Dive Shop where chairs and a limited amount of umbrellas can be rented for $10 each. Because the rentals are limited to the narrow area of the beach in front of the shops and restaurant, there is very little shade and an umbrella seems imperative for an enjoyable day. Also, Secret Harbor seems no longer to be a secret to cruise passengers who arrive via taxi by 10:00 am and the umbrellas go quickly. Snorkeling is good on either the east (to the right) side along the rocks or even better on the west (to the left) side along the rocks, past the gazebo and to the rocky point. Sue from the Dive Shop was very helpful with snorkeling suggestions. A variety of fish were mostly in the seclusion of the deeper, rocky channels, and a turtle was seen more inland over the sea grass.Spent a lazy day enjoying the swimming, the view and the warm water and make it a perfect day--- picnic on the beach with carry out from the grill. Priceless!

We had a very difficult t ime finding the turn off road that leads to Secret harbor Beach, but once we found it, we were quite pleased. Smaller beach with white sand and blue water, a few palm trees for shade in the noonday sun, and no one bothering us. There is a resort right here at this beach, but there is plenty of room for the public to come and set down beach towels or chairs, and the Sunset Grille is there if one needs to buy food or drinks. A bit of snorkeling was possible with our own snorkels as well. Be advised that parking is quite scarce; we had to wait for someone to leave in order to get a spot.

We went there to see my wife's brother and sister-in-law who were staying at the resort. The beach is on the smallish side (no necessarily a bad thing) and the have a raft right off shore. It was nice.

Rent a chair and umbrella from Aqua Action and just chill. I also rented a paddle board and went around the bay. Saw a turtle on the west side of the bay.

We love returning to Secret Harbor because the snorkeling in Nazareth Bay is great, the accommodations are great (this time we stayed in the Secret Harbor Vilas which are now operated independently from the resort itself), AquaAction has a variety of different snorkeling excursions, and the Jester is moored off of Secret Harbor, which makes scheduling excursions easy. Secret Harbor is a great place to go to escape cold winter weather.

We loved this small, low key beach. Great place to relax. We especially liked their beachside bar. Outstanding drinks and appetizers.

We discovered Secret Harbour 7 years ago and never miss it when we come down. It is off the beaten path, is generally quiet and is small and quaint. There is a great new restaurant which was recently bought by St. Thomas restaurant group and it was the best food we had all week. The only challenge is they have made it a bit difficult to find parking if you are not staying on the property, so consider getting there early.

We did not stay at Secret Harbour but did eat at the beach side grill three times. The service and food was very good. We were impressed by the beach. It looked like a great place to bring kids. Good beach, good swimming, protected harbor.

Of all the snorkeling we did on St Thomas I think I enjoyed Secret Harbor the best. There is a resort right there, a restaurant and a bar. There is also a very nice little dive shop over to one side of the beach where you can rent gear and get some snacks if you like. The day we visited there were a few cruise ships in port, but the beach was uncrowded. For snorkeling, it is very easy to get in and out of the water. Right around the beach area, the snorkeling was kind of average, but if you venture out to the far rocky points around the right or left you will be rewarded with a great variety of plentiful fish, and coral. My favorite was the left site point when facing the water. We saw angel fish, parrot fish, sergeant majors, cuttlefish, barracuda and a ton of other varieties for which I don't know the names, There was a nice variety of live coral out here as well. Out in the middle is an area where several of our group saw some sea turtles. If you never venture more than 50 yards out from where you enter the water you will find this pretty average, but if you are a stronger swimmer/snorkeler try going out to the far side of the rocks around the points and I don't think you will be disappointed.

We stayed in the Secret Harbour area so used this beach frequently. Several boats came in which says the swimming and snorkeling were also good. They have beach rental equipment, too. The swimming is good, no large waves unless the wind is up. Recommended by all the folks who stayed with us.

We have taken a taxi to the eastern beaches several times in the past, especially Sapphire Beach, but couldn't remember if we had been to Secret Harbor. We took friends this time and were disappointed. The beach is small, but not crowded. The snorkelling was mediocre. Very little coral and no exciting fish. The dive shop was excellent, and we enjoyed the iguana on the beach. The water was clear and very calm. Next time we will go to Sapphire Beach- it has a nice view of St. John and better snorkelling.

We did not stay here, but stopped in one morning to snorkel. Beach staff was very helpful with lots of tips. Great beach, not too crowded. Lots of the locals recommend this beach for snorkeling. Nice looking place to stay-looking from the outside.
