We truly enjoyed our afternoon visit with friends at the winery! First we did the tasting and was a little disappointed to find that they didn't grow the grapes here and all the grapes were imported. But the wine was good and we bought a couple bottles (there were 6 of us), some cheese and relaxed to a table for a few hours to talk and sip. It was a beautiful relaxing day with a very attentive staff. We took a few bottles home too.

Decided to visit the winery for New Years Eve since the Musical Group Concordia was playing. Had a great time with some friends and great wine. Pretty in Pink is my personal favorite. Staff was friendly and fun as always.

My husband and I were impressed by the beauty of this winery; however, the wine we tasted was average, at best. Our server was friendly, offering to let us taste other things - like their wine slashes. In the end, we enjoyed our tasting, but we didn't like any of their wines.

Beautiful winery with great Tuscan style and several delicious wines from which to choose. The staff is very pleasant and attentive. Try the Pretty in Pink or their Muscato, both are delicious. We will make sure to stop here on future visits to the area.

We stopped in Tuscan hill while staying overnight in Effingham. This place was really pretty and had a great wine selection. We did a tasting and bought some bottles to take home. The staff was super friendly and they had live music on the Friday night we were there. We almost didn't go because we saw signs in town that there was a 50th high school reunion there that same night. I'm so glad we decided to go anyways. Plenty of room - a bit loud - but worth it.

I had no idea when we pulled up to the front of the winery what treasure laid in wait. When you open the door, you are struck by just how beautiful it is in side. It's huge. There are lots of table and also a patio outside. We tasted some very good wines and selected a bottle to drink outside. They also have stuffed bread and pizzas available. We ordered the stuffed bread and it was a very yummy treat. We sat outside enjoying the landscape for quite a while and when we went back in to purchase wine to take home, the place was packed. I believe they have music sometimes, although not when we were there. It's a great place to visit and relax.

Hello, I have spoken to staff and I am so sorry that this happened. I know you didn't want the other space that we had available and we are sorry about the mixup. We've have been hosting parties, weddings, and events for several years now. This doesn't happen. It was a mix-up with someone who is no longer with the company. Again, our sincerest apologies. Very friendly staff, large building beautifully decorated, outside seating with music on weekends. Lots of comfortable seating inside as well. A good place to relax and enjoy some wine :) We did the tasting and found several enjoyable bottles for purchase. We have been to several wineries in Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, but never Illinois. They let the under 21 people in our party come in, get a soft drink, and relax by the fireplace while we did our tasting. Very helpful and informative about the different wines and we had a wonderful time. The location of the building is perfect.

Very Tuscan. Nice place, great parking lot, good wine, nice people. Would suggest trying some of their dryer wines.

You will be glad you visited Tuscan Hills Winery. Fun for all adults especially in the spring through fall months with outside seating and music.

Saw this on tripadvisor and checked it out. Glad we did because the young lady working was friendly and very helpful. Took other reviews into consideration and tried the Pretty in Pink. Came out of there with some of that!!! Building is beautiful and they offer evening activities. Check it out!

We stopped on Monday, August 12 in the late afternoon. The facility is beautiful, the staff friendly and helpful and the wines were very, very good. There is a $5 charge for 6 tastings that were generous, and we didn't find a wine that we wouldn't try again. We purchased 8 bottles, including their most popular, Pretty in Pink. They have a nice selection of wine-related gifts for sale and we enjoyed a glass of wine in the dining room while looking at the nicely landscaped grounds. Definitely worth wiggling through the road construction going on along the highway.

Based on another review, we were expecting a bit more involvement with the wine tasting experience. However, we visited on a Wednesday afternoon and the place was empty. The staff were friendly and offered the full tasting (6 wines for $5 and you keep the wine glass) or just three complimentary wines. The place is beautiful inside and out. They have entertainment on certain nights. We wish we could stay longer and return for dinner and entertainment (if we get back to Effingham, IL, this will be on my itinerary!). We did buy a couple of bottles of the wine we tasted and the price was great.

We were so surprised when we saw signs for a new winery in town in southern Illinois. It is located in Effingham (exit 162) right off I-57, if you are traveling south. This would also be a great stop if you are traveling from St. Louis to Chicago. What a great find! The tasting room is huge, and is also open for banquet reservations. They do have live entertainment on some weekends, and several gals were playing Bunco while we were there. We visited the winery on a Friday, and visitors kept coming and going the whole time we were there. The server was friendly and gracious. The tasting was complementary, and the wines, especially the whites, were delightful. This was a relaxing stop after a long ride from Chicago, and we were not disappointed. Try both their red and white sangrias also; the staff will even share the recipe with you.
