We were there with a group of 8-10. We sat at one of the picnic tables outside and listened to the band. The band played some great oldies and some folks got up and danced. The crowd was lovely and fun. We had our dog with us and lots of folks stopped by to pet her. We didn't have table service but it was no problem to go to the bar. I accidentally knocked over my wine as soon as I got back to the table and a staff member cheerfully cleaned it up and gave me another. You can't ask for better service than that! Really fun place. We'll be back!

I can't say enough about how great this place is...from the great bartenders to the laid-back atmosphere, the Turtle has it all. It's hard to beat a beer out on the porch when a band is playing. It's also a fine choice to hang out and watch the game du jour as well.

Stopped in at Green Turtle & it turned out to be taco night w/ $2 mexican beers. The patio area is great and provided just the right spot to relax. I would have given this place an above average review if the service would have been better initially. Our original server (you have to go inside to order) was spotted leaving about 30 minutes after we ordered our food & nothing had shown up. Upon checking with the bartender, it was discovered that our order had never actually been entered. The issue was quickly resolved and we had food within minutes. The Green Turtle made it right for us by comping the tacos so all was good. The 2nd server was excellent and attentive and the food was good & fresh so we'd definitely give this place another try the next time we're in town.

My honey had a birthday yesterday and all he wanted to do was go to the Green Turtle for a glass of Chardonnay. Of course Esmeralda is OUR FAVORITE 'tender in all of Fernandina Beach! (She's there Mon-Friday 4 pm to varies). A really sweet young lady! And of course, it's dog friendly!

It was a Tuesday night and the service at the bar was horrible! A young gentleman and young lady were bartending and they were awful!! I honestly can't believe that they are actually employed by anyone in the service industry! I will never be back!!

After shopping and pub hopping, make this great place your last stop! You will enjoy the vibe, the outdoor seating, the friendly staff, the drinks - so many things to say about the Green Turtle! This seems to be popular with the locals (good compliment to any business). The patio area is well lit with tables. There is also a wrap around porch with seating. If it rains....head to this porch and celebrate! I will return.

Stopped in here after strolling town and a drink at the Saloon. This bar had live music and a fun crowd. We started inside then sat out on the porch to listen to the live music.

This is the best bar on Fernandina Beach!! We love the atmosphere, staff and music. The drinks are reasonably priced and there is little or no wait, even when they are packed. The outdoor seating is the best, especially when there is a wedding next door and you reap the benefits of a free DJ or band!!

We've been to most of the bars in town over the last few years. This is by far the best. Full of locals, great bar tenders and live music many nights.

First day in Fernandina, just walking the streets looking for a place to have a drink before locating a restaurant for dinner. What captures our attention is this phenomenal guitar player sitting on the porch of the Green Turtle Tavern, so obviously the place is ready for some patrons. We sat ourselves at the bar inside (still able to hear the guitarist) and enjoyed the surfer, beach decorations in the cozy bar area. Locals were already seated with their dogs (LOVE this- so island-y) and everyone just includes you in their conversation within 5 minutes. So that leads to another drink and now we wander to the porch area so we can enjoy the music in person. Immediate warm welcome from other locals and invitation to play a game of skill and you guessed it, more drinks. By this point we are surely not going to leave to find a restaurant and we decide to order their special for the night - Taco Tuesday. The service was fast, food was great and our new friends just made our first night on Amelia Island unforgettable. This place is a "must" for anyone visiting the area- lots of character, good bar food and laid back atmosphere.

If you want a fun place to have a few drinks, listen to good music and meet interesting people, this is the best place to go. Quaint, reasonably priced and always lively it is a true beach bar. Lot of locals. We brought in the New Year here and had a blast. Not fancy by any means and no food available but it is the best at what it is...a friendly local hangout.

HAD A GREAT TIME ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON Good band and nice ambience on the outside porch. would recommend it. Seating on the porch with the ban is my choice, there are also tables on the patio, shaded by trees. Where Ihave seen people with their dogs.

The Green Turtle tavern is a fun place with live music located in the heart of Fernandina Beach downtown off Third street. The music is good and the beer is cold and it is lively with locals. Enjoy the Green Turtle Tavern!

My wife and I stopped here for a drink. It was crowded outside and very busy. Green Turtle Tavern is a cute little place in the heart of "downtown" Fernandina Beach. The ambiance is adorable and inviting, with the appropriate green light on the porch. They have a large beer list and a few different types of wine. This appears to be the local hot spot at night. There were lots of dogs (the four legged type) and they had a live band on their outside patio. There were lots of smokers. Didn’t eat here.

Did not get greeted upon coming in the door. Was not offered any services or asked where we would like to sit (there is inside and outside seating). Did not even have any mention from the server/bartender what products they sold, no menu, no beer/wine list either. I don't like going into an establishment that depends on patrons to keep it afloat and they treat you like a bother or ignore you. We had 1 beer and got out of there. The place had neat and eclectic decor and that's why I am gave it a 3 on sights, plus the street it's on is also cool.
