sm'apples u pick orchard

We go here every fall for apples to dry, sauce, eat and freeze pie filling. We pull the little red wagon along and fill the buckets. It's a fun outing, apples are easy to reach and nice big ones.

Spent a week in the Blaine, Washington area and on the road to Lynden we found a sign at a corner advertising U-pick apples so decided to find the farm. We found Steve, a city boy who now runs the farm. He was most pleasant and patient with us, answering our questions about the farm, apples, and the Pacific northwest. While it was end of the season, we still had plenty of apple trees to explore and pick from. We were also quite impressed with the flowers they grow there, as they also have started an on line flower business (triplewrenfarms.com) and explained that they are busy with many weddings, the families choosing to order their flowers from them and put the arrangements together themselves. They also have chickens, honey and grow many herbs. Steve and his wife were most welcoming and seem to really enjoy the farming life after leaving city life only 3 years ago. Anyone visiting the northwest corner of Washington should stop by the orchard for apples, honey, flowers, or just to meet 2 very nice people.
