Better than Starbucks...Want great espresso? Wanna go where they know your name, know your drink, and treat you like a valued customer? Then this is your coffee shop, run by a young, vibrant, professional, hard-working couple...While I am a Starbucks junkie when I travel (about half the year), I much prefer the espresso here, and frequent the shop daily when I'm home. And as an added plus, they have some cool, laid-back clothes, perfect for your inner surfer or yoga-chick. Love this place!

The best chai soy latte I've ever had. Love this little spot and the merch isn't too shabby either. Grab some new havianas while you wait. Many many syrup flavors. Wish I was in town long enough to try them all. Had a great salted caramel latte as well!!

Stopped here today with my two girls. Great coffee and smoothie drinks. The staff was very friendly and the explained the drinks to my youngest daughter. We'll come back again.

Surf and Java is not what you might first think it to be. Did you think Internet and coffee? It's about a very friendly surf shop that has boards, well displayed surf gear, ladies jewelry and clothing, swim wear and beach shoes and oh yes, a cool coffee bar that also serves refreshing smoothies. Learn a little or alot about surfing while enjoying a latte from the friendly owners. A young couple owns and operates the shop. Great location next door to the popular grocery market. Lots of cool stuff and good coffee too! Treat yourself to chocolate covered expresso beans. I drop in as often as I can.

Wonderful coffee and smoothies. Cool surf boards and clothing for young and young at heart. Local ownership knowledgable about products and area. A "must do" in the morning!

Recently my son blew out his flip flop. We had to do some grocery shopping so we stopped in next door to OIB surf and java to see what they had. My son is five and they had many choices in his size. While there I ordered a mango colada smoothie which was amazing. The next day I came back for a couple odds and ends and ordered s coffee and it also was very good. If you're looking for a good coffee or other beverages give this place a try. The shop has tons of surf gear from boards to clothes to ukuleles. Nice folks and great service.

If you're a lover of coffee and shopping this is your place! Many excellent brands for him and her. This is an excellent shop with the best tasting coffee I may have ever had. The shop is run by an amazing young couple, very friendly! They have hired a very well-mannered young employee that I had a chance to meet named Samantha. Such a friendly young lady, and helpful with every question I had. The owners have done an amazing job with this place and I can not wait until I can return for another cup of fresh coffee! YUMM!!

Every chance I make it to OIB I make sure to stop into surf in java. I have never had such amazing coffee that even puts Starbucks to shame. The owners, a young couple, are so friendly and run an absolute awesome shop with two baristas Sam and Mary-Lou that are constantly smiling and making the most out of their jobs, which they seem to love so much. They were both so friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to all coffee lovers, and you can even do some beach shop shopping with out the lame tourist crap. This place is excellent. A MUST visit!

I purchase my ground coffee from this store. The service is always outstanding. Enjoy an afternoon Thai latte. Great earrings and cool socks . We are fortunate to have a surf and coffee shop in Oib .

OIB Surf and Java maybe small in size but it's BIG on taste and excellence! I was served by a barista named Marylou, I was so impressed by her costumer service, efficiency and friendliness, she alone impacted my visit. Customer service wasn't the only thing that was outstanding, the coffee was superb too! The coffee was rich, smooth and made with perfection.The coffee shop is shared with a trendy beach store that offers quality products! Products like: Sanuk sandles, bathing suites, surf boards, specializes beach jewerly and of course great coffee. Whenever I'm in Ocean Isle Beach I'm stopping in!! I'm giving this coffee shop "5 Xtra Shots" for excellence, you won't be disappointed! My only wish is that the coffee store offered later hours as well.

The wife and I were on vacation in Ocean Isle Beach and found this place next to Lowes Food Store. Great place for your coffee fix! Many varieties and truthfully the Caramel Macchiato I had there puts Starbucks' version to shame. The baristas were very friendly. Give them a try.

Went here while on vacation was thrilled to find a coffee shop other than Starbucks it was great good coffee, they opened early very friendly had wifi.
