This is an unexpected treasure. A fabulous research library with information on the cattlemen of the west. If you want to write the next definitive cowboy novel, you need to spend time her like McMurtry did for Lonesome Dove. There are also historical artifacts (the Alamo bell) and magnificent art pieces from Remington to Goodnight. If you find yourself in Midland, make time for this hidden gem!

This museum is a jewel in Midland. You can learn about the old west, surrounded by beautiful art exhibits. There is educationalhistory of the old cattle trail drives and original saddles and clothing of cowboys. The head of the museum, Pat McDaniel, can answer questions about Midland or the old west. It is worth a visit-not to be missed.

This was cool. Great way to learn a little more about Texas and Midland. We enjoyed it and learned a lot...beautiful building too. Great spur collection that we all really enjoyed talking to one of the employee's about too.
