hooked up 2 charters

I have been out with Captain David Bailey and the Hooked Up 2 on multiple occasions, both for business and with my family. The number one reason I continue to select the Hooked up 2 is that Captain David has always found the fish. I have fished with other boats in the past some of which the crew and the Captain run charters "part-time" (meaning they do not run the boat for a living) having the right Captain and crew will make all the difference in my opinion. As you may or may not know there is no guarantee that you will catch fish but we always have. Our most recent trip we were merely 30 yards from several boats and we had the fish practically jumping into our boat and the others were barely getting a nibble. The Captain and First Mate Brad were very polite and helpful. If you have never experienced a professional charter fishing adventure on the Chesapeake Bay give them a try. Before selecting a date check with the Captain via email and he will let you know what species and size you may expect to catch. For trophy Rockfish you will want to book a trip in the Spring and Fall where most boats are trolling for the fish. Our trip we just took on 6/19/2014 we "live lined". That is where you catch a bunch of spot (bait fish) on light tackle then afterwards use those to catch the Rockfish. We caught our limit of Rockfish and the fish ranged in size from about 22"-35". For my money "live lining" is a more enjoyable experience but for others they prefer the trolling for the trophies. The Captain and Mate are friendly and the charter is great for families and children probably older than 7 I would guess. The mate will gladly clean your fish afterwards as well, keep in mind the mate works for tips only which is customarily about 20% of the charter and a few bucks for cleaning a couple of fish as well. The boat has a small bathroom, a nice sized table to eat your lunch, and is equipped with all safety and technology equipment as any boat should.
